Had to cut the amp wire as it would not slide on but with banana plug it worked. Very happy.

I was disappointed in the packaging of the speaker. It was loose in a larger box, with the back side magnet clearly impressed on the inter box. I’m sure it took a lot of hits on its route. Also - disappointed that from my order of two speakers, I only received one and have not heard a peep as to when my second speaker will arrive. Not sure how long I should wait for it. Should I return the one and ask for a full refund? I truly enjoy the one I did receive. I wish they were better in letting me know the status of the second speaker.

Bought it to replace a 30 year old Vega in a tower and it was a great choice. I didn't want to break the bank so I took a chance on this one based on the good reviews. I am happy I did it sounds great thus far.

I going to use this woofer to replace the one in a Jensen Model 6 which is a 15" 4 way speaker that has an 8" midrange, 5" tweeter, and a 1" dome tweeter. I got this woofer because its 95db rating very closely matched my Jensen's 94db rating. I'm writing this review even though I haven't installed them yet because I was immediately impressed by their build quality. At 55 dollars and change this is simply a steal. The 75 oz. magnet is huge for a home speaker. It may not impress car audio enthusiast but their woofers serve a different purpose. The entire speaker must weigh close to 15 pounds and its cast aluminum frame is very robust and strong. Much better than thinner stamped steel ones. The stiff cone has a nice rubber surround that won't rot like the foam surrounds on my Jensens. I also like the knurled nut terminals. I'm pretty sure this woofers quality is equal to what you'll find in home speakers retailing for at least a thousand dollars each.

I used these to replaced the woofers in a pair of Pioneer CS-63dx speakers. I chose these speakers because they were one of the few replacement speakers that could match the magnet size of the original Pioneer woofers. For starters they fit perfectly, the aluminum frame size and bolt pattern was an exact match. At first listen they had me a bit concerned for lack of bottom end but after 50+ hours of breakin time they sound noticeably better and much better than the original 40 year old speakers they replaced.
