All your speakers are designed WRONG! Connectors are either too close to opening, or facing the wrong way and the 6.5s don't even fit the opening. RIDICULOUS!

Hi!We build the THAM10 woofer with this driver, and the output is fantastic. You get a good result for the money.Only critics, the connectors are a pain in the ass, and I hope they will hold connection.

Used to replace an old epicure woofer. Sounds great has louder and more accurate bass then the epicure woofer it replaced. Only strange thing is the impedance is a little high at 8.9 ohm. Well built with cast frame, vented pole, high power connectors and butyl rubber surrounds that will outlast the foam surrounds that deteriorated off the original epicure woofer.

I needed a sub woofer speaker to replace the one in my unit. I was unable to find one with the same shape mounting flange and gambled that I would be able to alter the cabinet and use this one. I was able to reshape the mounting area and although a very close fit, I was able to get enough surface area for the mounting screws. Only reason for only four stars in "Easy to install" was due to having to take time to remodel and the possible chance of ruining my Boston Accoustic sub woofer cabinet. Not Goldwood's fault, everyone's for not making a similar flange.Once all of that was done and it was fired up it sounded great. No buzz or vibration and I'm not positive, but I believe it actually sounds better than the original Boston Accoustics speaker. Very pleased with the outcome: great price, quick delivery and successful remodeling.

Easy drop in replacement with no cabinet modification required on Infinity SM-102.These woofers have polypropylene cones, as did the originals.Power handling at 140W RMS is similar to the original cab spec of 150W RMS.The new woofer’s frequency response reaches lower frequencies (36 Hz) than the original (65Hz) and this contributes to a little bit deeper/more bass than the original. It’s not a lot and a minor adjustment to the amp’s bass control can easily adjust for it, but it’s not really required to adjust it. Probably also the construction and voicing contribute to the increased bass.Playing one speaker with the new woofer and one with the old, I could discern no volume difference across a wide range of amplifier volume settings. I expected to hear some as the cabinet was originally rated at 100db sensitivity while this woofer is rated at 94db. But I could not hear a volume difference between the old and new woofers volume side by side panning between them. This woofer has a frequency response up to 5khz, so is suitable in the SM-102 with the 3.3kHz crossover point. ( frequencies above 3.3 kHz get passed to the tweeter)The old speaker used spade lugs while the new speaker has posts for bare wire insertion so you do have to clip the old spade lugs off the wiring harness.I think these replacements are higher quality drivers than what was original to the cabinet.I’m very pleased with this speaker as a direct drop in replacement at a reasonable price point. Delivery was next day with Amazon prime. It took me all of 15 minutes to replace both woofers. They are somewhat heavier due to a larger magnet, which adds probably a couple of pounds per speaker.See before and after photos. The other option is to have them refoamed by a pro, or to buy the kit and do it yourself. Getting them refoamed is about $45-$50 per speaker based on a couple quotes I got, plus any shipping cost. The DIY kits are around $25-$30. You can buy kits with infinity center caps from Midwest Speaker Repair. They are also an authorized infinity repair shop, and they can do the work for you. ( I am not affiliated)I opted for the immedate fix of these goldwoods, but I may still ship the originals in for refoaming.

I have the 10" and 12" Goodwood woofers. I install the 10" in a set speakers I made for home use. The woofers look well made, Install them bass was kinda soft at 1st it took about a week and now are coming alive really smooth not boom boom like you here in people's cars. I'm not looking for heavy bass that over powers the music but blinds with the music. If you have music with heavy notes they will handle it, very will well. If your building new speakers with crossovers give them time to break in. I have the 8ohms sets I posted few pics.Update - added the 12" woofers to the cabinets sides. Wow really great sounding speakers. 12" is wired directly to the binding posts. And the rest of the drivers is hook to the crossovers. speaker's packing/insulation plays a big roll in shapping the lower bass notes. Really please the way these turn out.

This speaker replaced my OEM speaker from a KLH powered sub unit. After putting this speaker in the box, the bass is louder than I remember it being with the original speaker. But, that may be because the old speaker has been slowly deteriorating over the years and I am used to hearing the worn-out speaker. Either way, this new speaker sounds great. For my unit, I had to make the speaker hole a tad bit larger using a small drum sander on a dremel tool since the cage on this speaker is a tiny bit bigger than the one that I took out. All in all a good buy.
