NVMe drive as boot drive or storage drive?
For the NVMe boot drive, you need to reinstall the OS (Windows 10 64bit/Windows 11 is recommended).
- First, you need to prepare a bootable USB drive and OS (Windows 10 64bit/Windows 11).
- When reinstalling the system, please select GUID Partition Table (GPT).
- OS will reboot after completing installation, remove the bootable USB drive, and enter BIOS to set UEFI boot mode
For NVMe storage drive, Plug and play in Windows 11/10/8/Linux/Mac OS
- Windows 7 can not support nvme drive
- Brand new NVMe drive needs to be initialized and formatted before OS recognizes it.
PCI-Express X4 Full Speed
- Supports PCIe X4 full speed and is PCIe 4.0/3.0/2.0/1.0 compliant.
- To reach PCIe 4.0 X4 full speed, your motherboard and CPU, and M.2 PCIe SSD should all support PCIe 4.0, otherwise can not reach PCIe 4.0 X4 full speed
- Intel CPU 11th generation and above support PCIe 4.0 feature
Installation
- Unscrew the copper stand. Then snap it to the end of M.2 SSD (half-moon position), see step 2 picture
- SSD is inserted diagonally into the adapter at a 30-degree angle
- Screw the M.2 SSD to the adapter
- Plug into the PCIe slot

Mi serviva un espansione per un ssd nvme m2, fa il suo dovere e si connette. Ha anche dei led per sapere se è collegato o meno. Come velocità non saprei dirvi avendo un pc vecchiotto ma va a oltre 1gb/s quindi ben veloce per quel che mi riguarda

Build Quality: The adapter feels solid and well-made, with no flimsy components. Compatibility: It supports the 22110 form factor, which is not always easy to find. My 22110 NVMe drive fit without any issues. Performance: Using it with a PCIe 4.0 slot, the speeds are as fast as expected—full PCIe 4.0 performance with no bottlenecks. It’s backward-compatible with PCIe 3.0 as well. Ease of Installation: Installing the NVMe drive and mounting the adapter was straightforward. The included screws and thermal pad were helpful additions. Thermal Management: The heatsink and thermal pad work well, keeping the drive cool under load.Overall: If you need to add an NVMe drive to your system or use a 22110 form factor drive, this adapter is a great solution. It delivers full performance, is easy to set up, and includes thoughtful design features. Highly recommended.

This is a great little PCIe adapter for M.2 SSDs. I recently got a low cost SSD from a brand that is known to occasionally have overheating problems. Instead of mounting it directly on my motherboard, where overheating could possibly damage other components, I mounted it to this PCIe adapter as a low-risk way to add a low-cost SSD to my system for some extra storage. The PCIe adapter is very fast (64Gbps total bandwidth), and doesn’t seem to cause any bottle neck in accessing my SSD, although I don’t necessarily have the fastest, high end SSD to test with. I’m only using a PCIe3.0x4 SSD, but it’s running at that full speed.This adapter came with two types of standoffs already mounted on the card (I had to move the location of one of them for my SSD), and one of them was exactly the right one I needed. It also has 2 sizes of mounting brackets, and the necessary screw, and is sized such that it can accept almost any variety of SSD form factors. It’s a complete kit. It came with some directions, but they are not printed well, and the font is too small to read without a microscope, but the entire thing is already pretty self-explanatory. I installed it in just a few minutes very easily and everything fit perfectly.Note: If you are interested in being able to boot from an SSD mounted to this PCIe adapter, you can only do this if you have a motherboard that supports the more modern UEFI Bios. I was hoping to breathe some new life into an older PC using this adapter, only to find the mobo doesn’t support UEFI. So, now I’m using this for added storage in my gaming PC. Just check that you have UEFI Bios before buying, if this is what you want to use this for in an old PC.Overall, I’m very pleased with it. 5 stars!

Since this is essentially a direct conversion of PCIe lanes from a PCIe slot to M.2 NVMe, there's no noticeable slowdown or performance loss.This is a great addition to any PC that has a limited amount of (or no) M.2 NVMe slots! Highly recommended.
