What is EMF?
An EMF Meter, or Electromagnetic Field Meter, is a device used to measure and detect the intensity of electromagnetic fields in the environment. It helps ghost hunters detect fluctuations in electromagnetic fields, as such changes are believed to be associated with ghostly activities.
DETECTION RANGE
- GREEN: "Normal" zone — Normal background Magnetic Field: 0 to 1.5 milliGauss
- LIGHT GREEN: " Low" zone- Low-Level Magnetic Field: 1.5 to 2.5 milliGauss
- YELLOW: "Caution" zone-Mid-Level Magnetic Field: 2.5 to 10 milliGauss
- ORANGE: "High" zone-high-Level Magnetic Field:10 to 20 milliGauss
- RED: "Warning" zone-Extremely high Magnetic Field:20+milliGauss
OPERATION
- Press the power button to turn on the device, the LED light will be on
- Place it near the electronic device to immediately obtain measurement results
- The LED will indicate the range of the EMF at that level
HELPFUL HINTS
- Record the readings on the enclosed Exposure Log, repeat periodically,since fields can change in strength
- If the GREEN LED(Normal) doesn't light then the battery is low, need to change the battery, please remove the two screws, replace with a 9v battery

Bought this emf detector awhile back and recently been using it as a main tool in my ghost hunting and works amazing. Came as the picture looks and so far hasn’t disappointed. I tested the detector out on a few objects and anything around electrical to make sure it actually worked and it lights up around anything electrical so just a heads up if youre ever confused if its just you or not. However, I used it on a few of my haunted collectibles and theyve lit up by them, in the photo is one on this doll Ive purchased at this haunted antique mall when making contact with the spirit it lit to red. Highly recommend!

I bought this for my son who is all about ghosts. I believe it works. We live in a home that’s always been my family’s home thru the generations & it’s over 125 years old. It would go off in locations that I felt something was going on. Certain areas that get cold with no obvious source (like draft etc) It’s pretty sturdy but then again my 11 year old isn’t very rough with it. Decent value & Battery life depends on how long you use it. But so far we put batteries in it around May 2024 & haven’t needed to replace as of Dec 9, 2024. Great on that. Easy to use, just switch it on and walk about or ask questions to get answers. Don’t stand close to electric outlets or you’ll get a false positive.
