My 2014 Honda Pilot EX-L V6 3.5L kept on getting the Check Fuel Cap warning. I loosed the fuel cap and then tighten it many times. I continue to get the Check Fuel Cap warning. At one point my vehicle’s check engine light came on. Check engine code P145C. I then looked up the code.Per YouTube videos, the Vapor Canister Purge Solenoid Valve needs to be replace. So I did. I erased the check engine light. It has been about 2weeks now, the fuel cap warning has not come back.

Seems to have solved my 2014 Pilot Touring's constant "Tighten Fuel Cap" message. I knew the fuel cap wasn't the issue. It was the solenoid that was malfunctioning. Dealership wanted $130 for the part. I changed it in about 10 minutes and no more message!
