This EVAP canister is almost twice the size of the part installed on my truck; however, it looks the same and has 2 rails where you can slide it on and mount it. On mine, the original hoses were formed onto the part so I had to guess where the port stopped and cut the two hoses. Only, I used screw clamps, worm drive, where it attaches to the hoses and I did not need the electrical adapter connector. The electrical port was identical to my original part. I did not trace out the corrigated hose where the "muffler" attaches/replaces because it looked like it ended up somewhere behind the gas tank filler. Most videos show it on the side transmission of the transmission, but not mine. It does start up faster, but it's hard to know at this point. The issue has been ongoing and has taken its toll on the battery. Time will tell if I need to replace that too, hopefully I can just recharge it be good. 2015 Sierra SLT 4WD - P0449 DTC.

I bought this product 4 years ago and it worked great. It has since failed. I thought I covered my basis getting a lifetime warranty product. HOWEVER, Amazon will NOT honor the warranty. All Dorman Products warranties are supposed to be honored by the seller.

So as others mention, it's different than what came from the factory. I did see a reference that this may be a redesigned newer style, which gave me some hope this would solve my P0442 code. I figured it was worth the gamble. It did not solve my code. To install it, I had to cut the old lines at the original connection. The ribbed vent line, I had to cut back to the larger ribs, that seems to be what the upper hose on this unit expects to clamp to. It all fit into place, and plugged right in. No new codes. No new problems.

Well, the check engine did go out. It is larger than original, but still fits fine. Hoses lined up and removal with install should have been maybe 10 minutes.The electrical connection from wire cluster on my 2014 Sierra did not match. 4 auto part stores later, could not find a match. So, I cut the connector off both. Used butt connectors. Taped it real good and used wire cover tubing. It worked with modification but , I should not have had to cut anything! Was not a direct fit on my truck. So 3 stars .
