The whole idea behind the Profile line as it is the highest quality with innovative features. It looks nice and it works but for the price, there are many other features that a few more inches of height make this like a blue light special. PROS: it is slim and looks modern with everything built into the door. but as far as it being some sort of flagship product, I do not see its value. the quality or workmanship is lacking. Moreover, when you shut the door on mine, it is not aligned and as it sits into the locking position it jumps upwards to sit. CONS: So, either the door is too heavy for the hinges, and it is drooping, or just poor quality. I think over time something will give and will break. Lastly, they shipped this without a turntable, and when I called GE, they told me to ship it back because they did not have any in the warehouse. Wow, that is some quality control and customer service. I do not recommend this model.

Major dent in the side of brand new unit.Altho in the side, it makes it almost impossible to install without bashing in the dent.However i am worried more about the internal electrical components. As it must have been a decent drop it had to had shaken somthing loose in there..

The low profile allows a great amount space above our stovetop. It works great.Two concerns: First, its really loud. We had 45 people in our house over Thanksgiving and everyone commented on the noise ABOVE the noise of the people in the house. Called GE and they sent someone out to replace the magnetron but it made no difference. The serviceman said they all tend to sound like that now - MUCH louder than any of the 4 or 5 over the range microwaves that we’ve had over the past 35 years. I wonder if its related to getting the same amount of power as a full size oven in a smaller space.Second, the clock is very bright. No way to adjust. It will light up your kitchen at night. Not a big deal and you can turn it off.
