Comes in a nice display cardboard box. Pen came with 1 nib already attached. Very simple to setup with the included instructions. Very high quality, pen came perfect with no scratches on the barrel, cap or nibs. Has a nice weight to the pen that balances very well in the handPens write very smooth with just enough feedback on the paper that it feels great, I really like the pen cap, it has a clip with a small wheel that rolls this makes getting the pen out of a pocket a breeze without it grabbing or catching on your clothing. This is my first fountain pen and this kit was perfect for someone just starting out. Very simple to use with clear instructions with photos, comes with a good amount of ink carts to get started and when you get more serious it comes with empty carts to fill with your own inks.

I'm a bit of an estilophile, so I always jump at the chance to try out a new pen. This one does not disappoint! It's solidly built, metal, heavy but not too much so. It comes with several cartridges in various colors, and two nibs, a wide point and a fine point. It also comes with 3 fillable cartridges, and syringe to fill them with. It does not, however, come with a pot of ink for filling cartridges, so if you don't already have ink, you'll want to pick some up for filling. The writing is smooth, both in feel and appearance. Once the ink made it to the nib, there were no gaps in the letters. While I'm experienced with a fountain pen, I have no doubt that someone brand new to them would be able to use this, I don't feel like I have to hold it perfectly to write with it. It does no leak or let out too much ink.One little cautionary note - When you put the cartridge into the nib, remove the cap from the nib first! I made the mistake of shoving it in, and then the nib got stuck in the lid and I had to pull it out with needle nose pliers (which this well-crafted pen withstood like a champ).

Haven't had a fountain pen in many years. Used to love using them, but kinda drifted away and forgot about them, so this really took me back. Honestly, I don't recall them being so complicated to get working, but you know how memory is. All-in-all it works just fine once you get passed the stage of setting it up and getting the ink flowing. Then it's just a matter of needing to learn how to properly write. Newbies always try to force it, and will need to go easy on the tip so as not to break it. But once you've got the hang of it, you won't want to go back to fountain pens (assuming you still write at all, since nowadays everything it typed, which is a shame). Anywho, recommended. :)

-This fountain pen set is great for beginners and people who are experienced with using fountain pens. This boxed set comes with everything someone needs to get started with a fountain pen, excluding paper. It also makes a beautiful gift! The price is also a great deal for everything that is included with this set! It comes with a great quality, metal fountain pen, two metal nibs, a cap for the nib that is not in use, two ink converters, an ink syringe to fill ink cartridges. and 18 prefilled ink cartridges in a variety of colors (3 black, 3 dark blue, 1 medium blue, 1 light blue, 2 red, 1 orange, 1 yellow, 1 green, 1 light green, 1 pink, 1 light link, 1 purple, 1 light brown). In the pictures, you will see a smudge of blue on the ink cartridges box. I do not know why that is there because none of the ink cartridges were leaking. It also comes with instructions on how to attach ink cartridges to the pen and how to fill ink cartridges. The 18 prefilled ink cartridges have a seal that is broken when they are attached to the pen. If you remove the cartridge after attaching it, there is nothing that will keep it from leaking from the top hole because the seal is broken. In addition, the 18 prefilled ink cartridges can be cleaned and refilled after they run out of ink, which reduces waste and saves money.-The pen is very easy to disassemble and assemble. Both nibs write smoothly. The ink is nice quality ink and flows well. Just remember that fountain pen ink takes a little longer to dry than regular ballpoint pens. In addition, as with most fountain pen inks, if you write on lined notebook paper or thinner paper, you have to have a page behind the one you are writing on in case a little ink bleeds through. Because of this, you can only write on one side of thinner paper, but in my experience this is NORMAL for fountain pen inks. The two nibs are labeled; one is labeled "M", and the other says "wing sung". For this review and the pictures from testing the pen and nibs, I referred to the nibs as such. There is not a huge difference between the nibs. It seemed to me that the "M" nib wrote slightly thinner than the "wing sung" nib, and there was only a slight difference between light and heavy pressures for both nibs. Both nibs wrote beautifully and smoothly, and I had zero issues with this pen set. I was extremely impressed, especially with the low price for the whole set.-I will be using this pen for journaling, Bible study, and for writing letters. I plan on using this pen a lot!! I definitely recommend this pen to others, and it would make a beautiful gift! It comes in a nice box with a magnetic closure that is a great presentation for gifting, but also a great box for storage. If you are new to fountain pens, just remember to ONLY use FOUNTAIN PEN INK with fountain pens. India ink, acrylic ink, and other kinds of inks that can be used with dip pens and brushes are NOT suitable for fountain pens!

I was surprised when I went to get a blue or black ink from the box. I opened it and was greeted by multiple colors. I threw caution to the wind and inserted a purple ink. It was easy enough to do, you just push the ink cartridge in until it clicks. It took a minute or two for the ink to finally flow down to the nib, but when it did, I found that the pen writes very smoothly. The pen itself has a little weight to it which makes it very comfortable to hold. It has a nice wide barrel to grip for easy writing. I personally tend to hold my writing utensils too hard, I push into them so much I have an indent in my finger. The weight and wider barrel help to prevent me from squeezing the pen too hard when I hold it. The injector and refillable cartridges confuse me. The pen comes with clear instructions on how to do it, but even after reading them I still don’t feel comfortable trying to mess with them. But the set doesn’t come with any ink for the refillable cartridges. However, it’s going to take months if not all year for me to go through the 18 disposable ink cartridges that they provide in the set. The pen is not fancy it’s just a basic silver, but regardless this is a nice starter set for fountain pens.
