My backyard is the worst kind of clay and it sucks to dig!! I hook these up to my drill and get the hole started and it cuts down on effort required from me and overall time. HIGHLY recommend!

The actual measurement for this is not 5/8 it’s 11/32 each of the two augers have a slightly different measurement. The smaller one is a little bit smaller than 11/32 more like 5/16 and the bigger one is 11/32Overall quality is fine. The paint is a little thick and it doesn’t need to be so anywhere. It makes contact with something that’s going to chip and Peele.

I bought this for my wife as she is the gardener of the family. Really, though, it is for me because I know I'll be doing most of the digging and planting in the garden. However, I have found that it is a really useful tool for the lawn as well to aerate it. Granted, it takes a while to do so, but it leaves beautiful holes in the ground that go down deep past the rhizomes of the grass. It works tremendously well at digging in clay soils as that seems to be the norm here in Western Tennessee, right up to the topsoil. Plus, it is in my favorite color! Well, at least until it gets well used. I have already lost a bit of the paint in the use I have done so far! However, it doesn't detract from the fact that this is an incredible tool for digging and planting. It makes a tough job so much easier!

Used to drill holes for planting bulbs. Works great for mixing potting soil. 20v B&D drill overheats under prolonged loads, especially with the larger auger. Still like the product.

The Bits look and feel sturdy. I have put them to work briefly so far, waiting for the rains to soften the soil. They seem to be up to the tasks so far.
