These were great, only slow down was unmarked cable so I have to call dig line, not their problem lol. I live in a rocky area and expected some chipping but these things are taking a beating, not chips yet but paint is wearing off which is to be expected given all the large rocks. Great stuff thank you!

I loved it and it did make the holes just the right size for me to transfer the flowers from the store to pot. You will not be disappointed and it will cut down the time of getting this done.

I was skeptical about this at first, but I took a chance. I am actually very impressed with the sturdiness and quality of this auger. I wasn't sure my 18 volt DeWalt drill would be enough but it did just fine. Where I live we have a lot of hard packed red clay, and I have to admit it was a little harder to break through but once it broke through the first couple inches it did ok. Soft, broken up dirt in the flower bed was a breeze.Word of warning!! Hold the drill with two hands because once this thing starts digging, it goes fast and if it grabs something it will twist your wrist.

I used this to plant 35 plants and it saved a bunch of time. The 4 inch diameter is perfect for most small plants. For some of the bigger plants I used it to make a hole and then dug out a little more with a trowel. In a well prepared garden bed it will zip through the soil quickly. I used a 12volt drill and had to slow the speed down because the auger would fling the bedding soil out. In less prepared soil it still works well. I tried a couple of test holes in my yard which is about an inch of topsoil over red clay. It still worked okay. I had no issue with the bit end twisting even under high torque. I recommend this if you have a lot of plants to put in or do a lot of annuals each year.
