Effective Weatherproofing. The seal works well for blocking out drafts, dust, and water, creating a tight seal between the bottom of the garage door and the ground. This is crucial for keeping my garage dry and maintaining a stable temperature inside.Easy Installation. I can say that the seal was easy to install. It comes with pre-cut lengths, I bought the 16 footer and cut it in half for my two 8 foot doors. The T-shaped ends (5/16 inch) fit easily into my existing garage door tracks.The rubber material used is thick and sturdy, making it resistant to wear and tear over time.

I recently installed this garage door seal on my double garage door, and I’m really impressed with the results. With the super cold weather we've been having this year, this seal has made a huge difference in keeping the cold air out and maintaining a more comfortable temperature in the garage. It’s been great for blocking the northerly winds that hit my door and seals tight enough to keep out pests too.The installation was straightforward, though difficult in cold weather. The rubber material is more flexible when warm, so this is definitely something better done in warmer months, though not impossible in the winter. I appreciated that it was easy to cut to fit the door. It has adjusted well to my uneven garage floor and has held up keeping the snow out. The quality feels solid, and it’s been performing excellently with no issues so far.Overall, this is a fantastic product for anyone looking to weatherproof their garage. It works great for temperature control, keeping out pests, and protecting against the elements. Highly recommend it!

Installed the new seal into the slots on the bottom of my garage door after cutting off the old seal. Even though it is suggested that it takes 2 people for installation- heed the suggestion and find someone to help you! I tried the installation by myself and got about 3 feet installed before for I realized it might take hours to complete the job by myself. Two folks can do it in 15 minutes. Just be careful watch that the end being feed into the grooves doesn’t slip out of the slots. If your garage is narrow between the door tracks and adjacent walls, choose the side with the most accessibility because you'll need room to feed the seal straight into the two slots.The seal is packaged rolled up. The tube shown in the product pictures comes attached to the flat piece and serves as a filler to help with the driveway surface to door bottom seal. During installation it helps to shape the seal and feed it straight into the slots..I am pleased with this item and recommend it. Be sure to check if your door bottom has two slots that will accept the 'T' shaped ends.

The weather seal arrived well coiled packaged in a plastic box, no damage.I use this weather seal to replace a 18 year old seal in my garage door. The old gray rubber was damaged and stiff as hard plastic, needless to say that the thing was not filling the gap no more so leaf’s, insects and dust were using this highway to get into my garage for many years.Installation,To my surprise the hardest part was to remove the old stuff and to clean the rails, sliding the new black weather seal was super easy, using heavy duty scissors to cut the extra inches that were provided and couple minutes later the garage door bottom seal was brand new. Since the rubber is moldable it will be seating flush against the floor creating a nice tight "seal" once its installed.Do not hesitate to change the seal in your garage like I did. Ordered the 16' and it comes with a few extra inches that perfectly allow to customize to you door.Price is very competitive compared against the bigger retailers.

The door seal is made well, and it was an easy replacement so it was manufacture well too. Picture #2 shows the difference between what I had and the Amazon seal. Remove the old one was a breeze, but the challenge was sliding the new one across a 9' span. It’s not that it was hard you just had to push the new seal along the door. While pushing on the door seal it left impression on the new seal (pic.#4). You can see how the indents on the seal show up on the inside of my garage (pic. #5 daylight showing on bottom of the door). I thought after a day it would straighten out, it did not. Then temperature was in the 60's and after two days it still looks the same. I used a heat gun, and worked each indent by hand and that worked. My concern is how long will this stay and if I would close the door on a stick or something would I be back with the same issues? Also (pic. #6)I would have to adjust the door lock which really is not a problem, but it is worth noting.

I have replaced garage door bottom seals multiple times over the years and have purchased several varieties from the least expensive to top of the line. Some hold up better than others depending on the environment (I've lived in California, Oregon, Minnesota and now Michigan).This door bottom seal seems to be of equal quality to the one it will be replacing and will best be done in the spring or summer months when it's warmer out and the product can be left in the sun to soften up some to make it more pliable before installing (right now, the temperatures here in Michigan have been too cold to try and attempt it so I'll wait until spring). I will say that it's always faster and easier to install with a helper and I will seek out my son's assistance when I do attempt to install it.For now, I am giving this product my seal of approval and a 5 star rating based soley on the uninstalled product. The rubber appears to be of good quality and the product is packaged well to prevent it from deforming. I expect it to perform well and will come back and update this review once it's installed and been in use for awhile should the rating and my opinion change.
