Used one of these to provide a seal for the slideout actuator tubes on my 2007 Newmar Essex. The original arrangement was made of soft/pliant perhaps foam rubber and it deteriorated to the point of being ineffective. A couple of years ago, I attempted to emulate the seal arrangement with new sticky rubber foam, but it degraded rather quickly. I decided to give these a try. The 2.5 inch hair length was necessary to ensure I could cover the gap and have sufficient area to mount the brush.The aluminum channel to hold the brush is easily cut with a hacksaw and the brush can be cut with a pair of side cutters / wire cutters. After measuring and cutting the brush to the length needed, the channel was cut slightly longer to permit crimping the end to capture the brush. Then the channel was pre-drilled to permit mounting the pieces around the slide actuator tube and guide bolts.These look like they will hold up indefinitely. I am very happy with the purchase and quality of these brush sweeps. AND...I have three more to figure out what else I can do with them...

I got these for the 10x10 roll up doors on my new garage. The way they are designed there is a large gap left above the door when they are closed. These seals were very easy to cut to length and install. They sealed the gap to where you don't even see any light shining in around the door anymore. They do make it a little tighter when you open and close them but I'm ok with that. It seals them up so no birds or insects can get in. Even helped a bit with keeping the building heated and cooled.

I received the product quickly and it was easy to install. The sweep fibers are more soft and flexible than I expected. I wanted to keep mice from crawling under the door to get into my barn, but I think the mice can just push the fibers out of the way. Time will tell..

This was a great find and installed just in time to keep the pests and cold air from penetrating the garage door seal. I can actually notice the temperature difference in the garage after the installation. Install was a snap and took me no more than 15 minutes to do a 22' garage door. I would recommend.
