We are not DIYers and were a little bit worried how hard it would be to use after reading reviews. We found that one garage door was very easy to add the weather stripping seal to the door. No oil or anything needed. We just dusted the door with a rag first before inserting the strip into the slots on the bottom of the garage door. It definitely helped to have 2 people, one person to hold the remaining part up and pull while another person kept it on the track. The second garage door was a bit trickier. Not sure why. Still no oil or anything. We had trouble getting it into the track at the beginning. I suggested that we flip it around, and then it worked. Not sure if it was a quality control issue or a garage door issue. Very happy with the result. Would buy again.

The garage door seal was installed as the directions stated. The seal has already torn on the end like our old one did, and there was no reason for it.

Let me first say I was dreading replacing my 12+ year-old garage door seal strip. I was imagining having issues getting the old one out as well as problems installing the new strip. I read the reviews about using soapy water to lubricate the metal slots and rigging up a clamp or something to hold up the rubber seal on the infeed side. All of this was very helpful and I suggest you use these suggestions during installation.Installation process:I started out by removing the old seal from each door (I have two single garage doors). Both came out relatively easy. The track and door was pretty dirty so I took a bucket of soapy water and cleaned the bottom of the door with a green scotchbrite pad. I then ran the edge of the pad in and along all of the tracks. Once I had everything relatively clean, I set up a clamp on the opposite door to hold the strip at the same level of the door. I fed the end of the strip through the clamp and installed both tabs in the slots. The first few feet were a breeze. After about 3-4 feet, I had to start the process if pushing at the infeed side then going to the edge of the strip and pulling a few inches. I continued this process until I had about 3" excess strip on the other end of the door. At that point, I folded the end back onto itself and pushed this excess into the end of the door slot. I went over to the infeed side of the door and cut the excess at 3" and I folded the excess onto itself and inserted it into the edge. I made sure that the overhang of rubber was not going to interfere with normal door travel. I then repeated the process on the other door.A couple of suggestions to make the install easier:1. Make sure the slots and area around the slots are clean. Dirt can hamper the install by causing friction or blocking the slot.2. Go slow. Don't force the rubber strip. It looks like it would tear easily.3. Make sure you measure the slots or old seal tabs. This fits a T-Track that is 5/16" wide.I didn't have to adjust my garage door opener to account for the new seal but I would imagine some doors might need a slight adjustment as the new seal is a little larger than the old (flat as a pancake) seal. I also didn't need any help installing. This may be because I had two single-garage doors and not a full size door.Hope this helps!

After reading about everyone using soap and/or lube to get this onto the garage track, my lazy butt decided to just pull the old one off and put the new one on, no cleaning, no lube. I just fed the end of the new onto the track (about 1-2 feet at a time/pull as I had to unwind the rubber and form a "U" shape lined up with the track before having the wife at the end of the newly mounted rubber strip do a "pull". Hope that makes sense). It was a little harder to pull the last few feet so, I can see how lube would make it easier but, it really wasn't needed. We were done in 10min so, super easy job and the new rubber seems well made.

Seems to be pretty strong. A bit tricky to slide on. You do need two people to put it on and some good instructions are on the internet. Helps keep the mouse population out of the garage for sure.

This was easy to install. It fit perfectly. Has a great seal to the ground to keep leaves and water out of garage. Quality was good. Worked great for our garage door.

The fit is perfect and the item is true to the advertised size (length, width, and size for connecting to the door). The product is also easily cut to length if your garage is not a normal size. It works well, seals well, and does a decent job filling up my uneven door gaps. It works well and I will update after I go through a winter.

Rating below a 1 star, total waste of money. I attempted to install and half way through the install, the seal ripped when feeding into channel. The material is too thin, soft and when I tried to remove it ripped further, it’s in the trash as it shredded into pieces. I had to run to Lowe’s to buy a replacement and their seal material is over twice as thick. Do not buy, not recommended
