Purchased for my Frigidaire top freezer. It had the ice hookups, but no ice maker. Had to purchase the water line separately. Took about 40 minutes to install everything, ice was dropping by the end of the day. So glad I finally made this purchase

We had been debating on buying a new fridge with ice and water. Decided to just try the ice maker. What I love is this is an OEM part. And the cost was actually on sale for less than the aftermarket ones.Install was a breeze.So far after 5 months of having it the function is perfect. Ice produces quite a bit. I drink almost 2 gallons of water a day. My husband works outside and in the heat. He has a gallon jug he fills up before works. And we have a Great Dane the loves ice cubes. Lol so it’s enough ice for the family and we still have an extra bucket of ice in the fridge. So far it fits perfectly. Doesn’t take up a ton of room. (Fingers crossed.) No leaks) Seems super durable. Very happy with the purchase of this item.

My husband installed this product, to replace the unit in our freezer. Was fairly easy to install however, after 6 days it has still not made ice. This may be going back.

Update 2020 : after more than one year of use the solenoid valve stopped working. I bought the replacement but wasn't sure it was the right one.I just installed the new valve and it works perfectly. I'm sharing pictures of the old one and the new one, so i can help others and skip all the trouble of finding the right one. I bought it through Amazon as well.ELECTROLUX 242252603 FRIGIDAIRE WATER VALVE-----_---------------------------------------When i unboxed the ice machine i checked all parts, and there is a crack in the front side of it. Fortunately it does not interfere with the ice making process. The parts are not very good quality. The solenoid valve looks cheap.After all, its making ice and works very well, besides the quality of all parts.I can recommend it, but don't look for quality parts.Update:After three months the Vevor pumping machine runs stopped working and had to buy a cheaper one on Amazon., so far so excellent. .
