I have a couple of complaints. The ice bucket does not fit my fridge so I couldn't use it. This leads to another issue where the icemaker never shuts off automatically when full so I have to turn it off manually.And finally it makes ice very slowly and in small batches. But it does work and is better than ice cube trays.

I have been wanting to install an ice maker in my freezer for years, this kit came with everything needed and was so simple to install! It makes plenty of ice, and keeps up with my wife’s demands… she goes through some ice! I highly recommend.

The refrigerator that we inherited had the isemaker turned off due to water leaking into the freezer compartment. This one installed nicely, has non-stick coating on the ice tray, and came with a variety of filler tubes. I installed it according to the instructions for the model of the refrigerator. (The refrigerator was supposed to have a letter sticker on the back indicating the proper length fill tube but the sticker was not there.) Turns out the fill tube used according to the model number was too short which was causing the water leakage. Substituting the longer fill tube and trimming it shorter fixed the leak.This unit has a plastic arm that swivels out to determine if the icetray is full (rather than the wire bale). The arm really allows the tray to fill higher than I would like. Not a real issue.I would buy this again.

I purchased this unit last November but didn't get a chance to install it until we came back from being south during the winter months. The receiving cup of the ice maker does not mate up to the factory installed water line of the GE Artistry refrigerator we also purchased on Amazon Prime. After explaining my situation to RJR Anderson (Like Prime on Amazon Marketplace) along with sending a picture that showed the obvious misalignment (by several inches) the circus began. The original email response by them was encouraging as they asked that we postpone any ratings of their service until they've had a chance to rectify our problem. I explained in my initial correspondence that I wasn't looking for a replacement but was in need of some technical advice on some type of retrofit with the water spout to receiver cup of the ice maker. Since this ice maker was the factory recommended one for their own refrigerator I figured I must not be the only one with this fit up problem. All of the subsequent responses from RJR Anderson were elusive at best and snarky even after placing the word "ESCALATE" in the subject line per their own direction. Ryan, one of their customer care employees, oozed sarcasm and was the most offensive of the three people that addressed my email concern. They frequently stated that since my order had surpassed the allotted time frame there was nothing they could do even though I explained I wasn't looking for a replacement or wanting to send it back, I was simply looking for some assistance in figuring out what to do about the misalignment so that I could actually use the unit they sold me.My advice to anyone purchasing from "Like Prime" in the Amazon Marketplace, think twice about it. Buy it from anyone else unless you are absolutely certain you will not need to deal with their customer care.Please note that we have purchased many items through Amazon but seldom write a review. The few that I have, have all been highly rated reviews of praise. I only use this tool when I have strong reason to post it. I do not want other customers to be treated by RJR Anderson the way I have been.
