This bit works well on the lathe for coring out the center of a bowl blank. I’d buy it again.

This came in its OEM packaging and arrived sharp and ready to go! Used it to drill holes in hardwood and plywood! Never a problem as it cut through like a hot knife thru butter!! Will buy other sizes as needed!

I use this in a small milling machine and it cuts great. Not all Forstner bits are created equal and this is a really good one. In this case if you pay more you'll get more.

Great bit for the money. Very sharp edges, very precise machining. I used this to drill holes in a 2.5" thick solid maple slab using a pre-drilled jig attached with clamps to the surface. Cut perfectly without no walking. Wish the shank was a bit longer but super nice.

This made building several purple Martin houses incredibly easy! Excellent quality & the only problem with it is that one has to be careful not to run the drill really fast b/c then it binds when drilling the hole. That happened a couple of times almost taking the drill out of my hands & wrenching my wrists until I figured out to go slowly & carefully.

After hearing all the hype about the Freud Forstner bits, I was a bit disappointed to find that mine was quite dull out of the box. After 10 min sharpening it it did work quite well. I bored a 2in hole 5 in deep in hardwood in 1.5 min. No scorching, and the bit was only slightly too hot to touch after.

Very sharp, clean hole. The only negative I could say is that it did not come with any type of plastic protector. I have only used this twice so I can’t say anything about how long it will stay sharp.
