This Konfintos Food Dehydrator is a 700W commercial style unit designed for making jerky, dried fruits, and more. It features stainless steel trays and precise temperature control.I personally appreciate the incredible build quality and heft of this dehydrator. It feels very solid, like a piece of equipment that will genuinely last a very long time. The stainless steel trays and interior contribute to its durable feel and professional appearance. The functionality is superb for dehydrating various foods. The 700W heating element and rear-mounted fan provide consistent, even drying across all trays, eliminating the need to rotate them. The digital timer and temperature control offer precise management, allowing me to set it and walk away. Its large capacity handles substantial batches.I also really like the inclusion of a little recipe booklet. It's a thoughtful touch that provides immediate inspiration for new jerky recipes and other dehydrated snacks. The trays are easy to remove and clean, adding to the overall ease of use. It feels like a fantastic value for money.Tips & Alt Uses:Use the dehydrator to make healthy, preservative-free snacks like apple chips, banana slices, or dried herbs from your garden. For pet owners, it's great for making homemade, single-ingredient jerky treats for dogs, offering a healthier alternative to store bought options. As a 35-year veteran of the computer technology industry, I offer informed and experienced perspectives in my product reviews.I will update this review if anything changes within 1 year. A 5-star rating indicates the product meets my expectations for its purpose.

I grow my own herbs, such as parsley, oregano, basil, etc. And while I already had a very similar food dehydrator, the fact remains I was always filling it completely up and running out of room, which resulted in me having to throw a lot of my freshly grown herbs away simply because I lacked the space to dry them. This is roughly the same size as my other dehydrator, and they now sit on top of one another. And now, I have enough space for a full load of herbs! I seriously can't imagine throwing any away now that I have 2 of these bad boys sitting on the counter. The main focus for those of us that use a dehydrator for herb drying isn't how HOT it gets, but how COOL it gets. Herbs should be dried at The quality seems excellent, it may even be better than my other unit, which I've had for 4 years now, and it still works great. It's super easy to use, and holds quite a bit of material, so I'm extremely happy with it. It's not too noisy, either, about on par with my other one - the most noise you hear is the fan running, which isn't that noticeable if you have anything else going on.In all, I'm super happy with this, because now I have enough space to dry an entire harvest of herbs without having to toss any in the trash. I definitely needed the upgrade. I highly recommend this whether you want to make jerky, dry herbs, or anything in-between. 5 stars.

This is my fourth dehydrator and the second with this rear fan design. The one that I was using until now was a Maxi-Matic Elite Platinum, which apparently no longer exists, to the point that it was even scrubbed from my order history. Weird.Anyway, this one looks much nicer (the Maxi-Matic is black plastic and looks kind of cheap) and has features that the other one lacks, like a 48 hour timer (I've been resetting my timer every 19 hours until now). The stainless steel is nice, but a bit fragile -- the packing tape left a mark on the stainless that I haven't been able to remove yet. It's not sticky stuff, the tape came off clean. It just left a line that I can't seem to get rid of.The temperature accuracy is hard to pin down, because the heater operates in sort of an averaging way. If, for example, you set the temperature to 115F, it might heat up to around 130F and then turn the heater off, letting the fan circulate the warm air until the internal temperature reaches around 97F. Then the heater comes back on and the process repeats. If you set the temperature to the maximum 167F, the heater will engage until the internal temperature hits 178F, at which point it will cut the heater until the temperature trickles down to 144F and then repeat. The product description says that the high temperature of 167F is perfect because the USDA recommends that beef jerky be cooked to 165F, but this isn't entirely true. The USDA suggests pre-cooking the meat to 165F (for poultry) or 160F (for beef) in an oven (or however) before putting it in the dehydrator at all. The idea is to ensure that it's fully cooked before it dries (search "USDA jerky safety" for info directly from the source) because the wet heat will kill bacteria, but if the bacteria is allowed to dry, it can survive and become more heat resistant. That's just a tidbit for your knowledge. It doesn't affect the performance of this unit.So far, this dehydrator seems good -- but what would I change? Sure, I would prefer that it actually maintain a consistent temperature rather than the constant over-under-over-under. But if that exists outside of an actual oven, I'm sure it's far more expensive. And yeah, having the stainless look without the tape line would have been nice. And the buttons and display (despite being functionally fine) could be more responsive. Oh and every dehydrator I've ever owned has come with a couple of plastic sheets for messy/soft items, fruit rolls, etc. and this one did not come with any of those. None of these are deal breakers (I'm just going to keep the plastic sheets that came with the Maxi-Matic because they fit) so I decided to just take off a single star for everything I mentioned.

Did my first 6 drawer chicken jerky for my dog. Turned out perfect, love the timer saves a lot of trips checking when it’s done. Comes very well packed , everything worked out of the box.
