Easy to use! I used it for parsley, pistachios, spring onions, onions, garlic... Blades are nicely done so it's easy to clean in between

The chopper feels very sturdy and the blades are nice and sharp but when i use it everything ends up stuck between the two blades and smooshes into my knuckles. I have to stop constantly to clear the food out. I'm waiting for the moment that I end up cutting my fingers on those nice sharp blades while pushing the stuck food out. I was really looking forward to using this to make chopped salads but it's such a pain to use that I've gone back to my dollar store single blade chopper. I tried pulling the blades apart a little bit but the chopper is so darn sturdy that they won't move. Very disappointed.

I'm old fashioned and do most of my chopping by hand with an Ulu. I came across this item the other day and given it had double blades I ordered one. First impression great; weighty, solid and sharp. I proceeded to chop 2 large heads of cabbage, bag of carrots, peppers and more to can 12 jars cabbage/pepper hash. The chopper was great! You are going to get large pieces lodged between the blades. The design allows you to push out pieces from top of blade without getting your fingers near the sharp edges. Easy-peasy. I washed the chopper in my dishwasher and it came out great. Will give an update after I use it for a longer period of time. For now I'm impressed.

This is a great tool if you are a prolific eater of salads, as I am. Gets everything chopped and mixed up in a hurry. Only downside to this one is the blades are a little too close together so, the salad ingredients get stuck in there quite a bit. I usually scrape it out with a butter knife. Overall, would recommend.

I saw something similar at Subway and saw the positive reviews on this that it was similar. I'm very happy with it. It does a great job. Think "cole slaw" pieces. I had read the warnings about it cutting up bowls and I decided to just use a dollar-store plastic bowl to begin with. Even though I was very light with my hand (you don't need to apply any pressure at all to cut things), it did end up cutting a slit in my bowl after two uses. No big deal since it's a cheap bowl anyway and I expected it. Things do get caught between the blades, but I just use the mezzaluna in one hand and a butter knife in the other. I use the butter knife to remove things from between the blades every now and then. You have to redistribute the things in the bowl anyway so I also use the butter knife to stir things around. It cleans up with basically just a rinse.

Wanted one more like subway! There is more space between blades and doesn't get so stuck in there. Cut myself first time I used it. My fault, but very very sharp and always have to get food out!

As many other reviewers warned.. veggies get stuck between the bladesand it's kind of dangerous getting it un-stuck. Those blades are sharp! I poke stuff out with a blunt knife. If you don't mind that, the knife works great otherwise and you get a quick and easy chop salad.

LOVE LOVE LOVE, after going to subway and getting a chopped salad I wanted to make my own. I looked high and low for a mezzaluna (cute name by the way...it's Italian for half moon) This one was cheap....super sharp and even comes with little plastic slipcovers (throw away) over the blades. This showed me how sharp this puppy was...and to store it safely....this isn't the kinda tool you wanna throw in your kitchen junk drawer as your fingers will be finely sliced, next time you are rooting around for a peeler ...yikes!! Also be mindful of the bowl you use as it will tear up any kind of plastic bowl...adding stuff to your chopped veggies that I'm sure you didn't want!! It has two super sharp blades, that can result in stuff getting stuck in-between the blades, but it is easy enough to pop out anything stuck in there....well worth the minor inconvenience to have the double blades.

I ordered this as a gift for a friend thinking it would be here in plenty of time--it was at least a 5-month window. However, her birthday came and went and still no mezzaluna. Had I realized that it would take from 4-6 months to receive the item, I would never had ordered it. However, upon receiving it, the quality is excellent and it does exactly what she wanted it to do. Why did it take so long? In my experience with Amazon, most deliveries are within 2 days--2 weeks, max. I will DEFINITELY check delivery before I purchase any other items through Amazon!

I purchaed this product because it had very good reviews. It turns out that the Fox Run Stainless Steel Mezzaluna is a great product. I am very pleased with the design and performance. The double blades makes it even more durable. Sometimes the lettuce gets in between the blades but it is very easy to scrap and place back into the bowl. It is a small inconvenience compared to paying eight bucks or more for a chopped salad at a restaurant. I give this product five stars.
