It was easy to put on with the help of YouTube videos. It’s been working good!

Works well! If you have a heat gun, installation is quite easy. Also make sure to buy adhesive. My girlfriend helped me, she's not very tech savvy and at the end, watching a YouTube install video, she almost did all the job. Be sure to make sure all dust / pet hair / residual broken glass is removed before installing the new digitizer. We thought we did but we had to to it again for a tiny tiny piece of glass under the new one.

This is my second screen I've used from this manufacturer and have had the best success with their products. Good quality and durability. I tried another brand recently and their screen was extremely fragile. For better success with any screen replacement, I recommend purchasing some 3M adhesive tape or glue to use in addition to the adhesive included on the screen.

This is a fine value. The digitizer and glass work flawlessly. The included tools probably cover most routine replacements and can be useful on similar future repair projects. It took much longer to get my cracked old screen off than the new one installed. And unfortunately, I didn't save the touch ID button. I was aware of some folks who look to keep it, but the old screen was shot through with fractures, looked to be a hassle with the mess on the bottom end of the glass, and it just didn't seem to be the primary goal. This is a backup ipad, but I kinda wish I'd have made the effort, regardless.I think a link or QR code to an instruction set or a video would be useful, it can take a bit of time to weed out the time wasters on YouTube. Here's a tip: if you glass is heavily fractured like mine: packing tape the top. Wide as you can find, because the suction cup they provide will not hold across tape seams. If the tape is strong enough, it can be useful to help pull off the old glass. Also on this model, the home button connection is actually a slip-thru lever style clamp. Took me longer to thread that little bugger through the slot than the rest of reassembly. Use a magnifying glass and tweezers, carefully. During removal, be careful on the bottom where there are a couple of WiFi/BT antennas. This screen replacement is much more straightforward than my iPad Pro, not as likely to hurt the LCD.I'm putting a protector over the glass so I don't know that I'll be able to update with commentary on how well it resists scratches. But I'll update should anything come up that is relevant for others considering this particular product.

Did the job the included adhesive tape is poor plan on getting some better tape. Included home button will not work with the ID on the Ipad. Try to salvage your original home button. A few good hints on youtube.

Home button doesn't work despite fixing the connection multiple times. The screen is so fragile that it cracked within first 30min of use by my 3 year old. I'm wondering what will happen when it gets dropped. Not recommended

Screen somehow has gotten an air pocket on the lcd screen and is no having button pushing issues. It’s either defective or cheap. Appears good quality tho but this happened after a few short uses.

Saved myself some money! Easy to install with the help of YouTube. Listen to what they say, you need an additional adhesive tape. The adhesive that is already on the product is not strong enough! The fit is perfect!

I’m blown away that this $20 screen and about 1.5 hours of my time saved me from a $250 screen repair! Watch the you tube videos and follow with care. I wish I had been a bit more careful around the home button when removing the old screen because I would’ve been able to reuse it, but the new one works great. Just no Touch ID, which is no biggie. I did have to watch a separate video for the home button switch. Also, I put some packing tape over the cracked areas to prevent the little glass shards from getting out of control when removing the screen. I did not have the double sided red tape that they have in the videos, but the sticky back it comes with is fine, especially since I put a hard case over it, and also added a glass screen protector. ;) You will need a heat gun (or I’ve seen reviews that say a hair dryer works too).

I can't say enough good things about this kit- first, the tools are first rate. No, you can't open a repair business and use them over and over but for a one-time kit, they are surprisingly well-built and everything you need. Second, the part itself works great but, even better, all the stickers are already on it- and the home button as well (use your old home button, if you can, so you don't lose the functionality.A little advice- you're going to need to remove the inside plastic film before assembly (and the big cushion attached to it to protect the cables). You're also going to need to carefully remove the backing on the adhesive strips but don't do this before a test fit and power check. Practice how to get the digitizer and button cables inside the frame of the ipad before it's all a sticky mess. Finally, go slow putting it together- getting the backing off near the digitizer cable and getting the cables all nicely tucked into the ipad case is not easy. And, of course, getting your old digitizer off was I'm sure an awful experience (it was for me, that's why I bought a new digitizer). Go to ifixit for all the steps!
