I have done about 6-7 of these screen/digitizer replacements, and with the kids habitual damaging of the IPADs, these are very economical way to keep them fresh and usable! Any reasonable issues, they replace without hesitation! Be sure to follow the 6 minute install guide in-step, and you will have no issues become a borderline IPAD replacement pro. I will continue to purchase these as my children continue to damage my Ipads.

Update**I decided to try again and did an exchange, took a few days and I replaced the broken replacement and line behold it works as intended. If you don’t mind possibly having to replace the replacement and do the work twice it will eventually work. With that said I am changing it from a 1 star to a 4 star as I did have to replace the replacement but it was all free and the 2nd worked. Orig**The screen seemed like it would work without issues until I tried typing in a password and an invisible line in the middle of the screen is preventing that from working. I got a painting app to see if there is a problem aaaaannnnddd there is. If I could give 0 stars I would.As you can see in the picture there is a very defined broken line in the digitizer.Would NOT recommend this replacement to anyone.

We watched the video because there are no instructions in the package. The video is edited to show clips of only some parts of the process; the video of how to remove the old screen is a joke. Like other reviewers, we had to shatter the old screen and pick it out piece by piece - it took over an hour, and was hazardous.Other parts of the video simply aren't there - including how the ipad was taken apart, after the screen was removed, where hidden screws were, etc. Eventually, we got it all together and lo and behold it worked . The kid working alongside said it was a great learning experience, though we expected it would fail in the end.Time is money and based on the amount of time this took we would've saved money with a repair shop - but, it was interesting (if frustrating) and turned into a learning opportunity and a new, working screen on an ipad.PS - tons of extra parts in the kit with zero explanation or appearance in the video. I have no idea what they are or why.

I was very hesitant to buy a screen and try it myself but I did and I have to say the out come was brilliant, this screen works really well. I haven’t had any issues with tracking your finger across the screen, everything fit perfectly. Well worth the money. Everything that you need to fix your iPad is there. I I had to add one thing it would be to use a liquid adhesive as well as the adhesive that is supplied just to give it that extra security. But otherwise a great product.

I bought this product to replace the screen on my son's iPad. I didn't care much about the home screen button fingerprint recognition since he is only 6 yrs old and mostly uses it for homeschooling.However, I wanted it to be as painful as possible to replace the screen given it was my first time DIY using a couple of YT videos. I saved the original HB just in case in the event there is a next time.I was successful in the end and my son is very happy.The only thing to note is that in the photo it shows a utility knife as part of the tool kit but, what they send you is just a utility blade. Not a big issue since I had a good utility knife.

I bought a couple different iPad screen replacement and this one was the best of the lot. Others had missing spots and you can tell when dragging an icon across the screen. All the tools were provided and instructions were clear. When I first installed and tested without closing everything, it worked flawlessly. But when I glued the iPad cover shut, I got the cable wedged and the screen had a couple lines across that were not responding. The seller responded quickly to help explain that the cable might be crimped. True enough after adjusting the cable position so it does not get wedge, they screen worked flawlessly.

Updated 8/5/2020:I think they made improvements to the home button issue that I talked about in my original review. They were nice enough to send me another screen after I had issues with the first, and it is holding up much better this time. Everything else is working normally still after a few weeks of use. I've changed my review to 5 stars now that improvements have been made and the seller was very understanding and helpful about replacing the original.Original review from 5/2020The home button on this is garbage. I don't care about the touch ID thing, but it falls out of place when you press it, so I had to remove the cover and try to fit it back in again. After a putting it back together again and pressing the home button a few more times, it got pushed in again. Now I just deal with a home button that is pressed down into the hole. At least it works. After 2 weeks of use, the touch screen is also acting up now. I don't really want to open it a third time to see if I can figure out the issue. I'll probably just try to buy a different screen replacement.
