Replaced my multimeter of over 30 years and of course I had to buy a Fluke. Best of the best and has not disappointed.

I'm an automotive Mechanic by trade so I needed a solid multimeter for electrical diagnosis. Fluke has always been known as a top brand for multimeters but can sometimes seem exspensive. This package was affordable, arrived fast, and does everything I need it to do.

Great deal if you get it on sale, as of 1/1/24 it's £282 (€325). It seems to fluctuate daily if not more often, maybe it's because I'm writing this on new years day. Both meters are made in Malaysia, not really sure if that's better or worse than China but it's two genuine Flukes and some nice accessories for a decent bit less than the price of a new 117. How far wrong can you go?I'm guessing they decided to save a penny or two on the bag, the yellow leathery bit is substantially smaller than pictured (see image above). And I have a feeling some of the people who said the clamp meter just plain didn't work might not know how clamp meters are used. The clamp must only go around the live wire (pictured above). If you put the clamp around a power cable containing a both live and neutral wires, they'll cancel each other out and it'll read zero.

When I ordered this the first box that came was empty. I contacted Amazon and they had another sent very quickly. If you are looking to buy this you must have some electrical experience and have heard of Fluke. These are amazing and pretty accurate, I got the combo that has the 117 multimeter and the 323 amp clamp. I work in industrial maintenance so the need for the is fairly simple. Checking contacts, fuses, relays and so on.The product it self is made very well, a thick yellow rubber shell on the multimeter feels really good in the hand. Also I don’t know if it’s standard with this set but I got a nice lead set (pictured) that has a swivel cover on the tips. Which is nice for smaller stuff like circuit boards. Then when you need you can slide them down to test things like a contact in an E-Stop no problem. You won’t regret buying from this company. I know guys who have had their meter for 25+ years. Fluke is quality and industry leading.

I purchased this set for work about 4 years ago. I use the multimeter daily. It has all of the features I need, and the test leads have detented shrouds that cover the tips - high quality. Not an electrician, but a maintenance mechanic / service tech for 30+ years. The clamp meter seems to be accurate with amperage readings, and makes this kit perfect for everyday. I like the set so much, I just purchased this one to have at home (the other set was purchased by my company). It's a Fluke, so I know I'll probably never buy another one in my lifetime. In the past, I bought the cheap crap and I don't think I ever had one last more than 3 months. The temp probe is missing from this kit (bought used, like new on Amazon) and that bugs me a bit. I think I used the one in my work kit once or twice, so not really a huge deal - but when you buy something, you want all that's supposed to be with it. Overall, I'm very happy to have a set for home use now. I had a really old Fluke meter that was given to me - I just handed it down to a younger dude who's just getting his feet wet. Gave me a great excuse to buy this set !!

A nice combo buy from Fluke. You can think for all-in-one kit and ultimately come up with 3 possibilities; something like a T5 or T6, a high end clamp instead with lots of dmm functions or go with a kit like this. I chosen to go this route for a few reasons. First and foremost, the 117 is no push over; a very capable and reliable dmm from the Fluke lineup. At work i have a few Fluke; a 87-V, a 337 clamp & a 789 - i wanted a nice little set for out-of-hours calls and home use. The clamp 323 is honestly very poor but gives you the option to "clamp" a AC circuit: *There is NO ZERO on 323* or most others function you usually find on pricey clamp. It's decent for what it is and up to the task unless in a industrial setup, if you need more than simple amp reading then this kit not for you (not worth it if you don't need that clamp).A few additional points;-The holdster is incredibly cheap, china tag on it and the zipper (like most fluke case..) won't survive long in a intensive environment.-The kit include a few goodies; The probe set is high grade, not cheap vinyl. I wasn't expecting this, but this kit comes with the magnet for the DMM, nice touch. If you want a 117, this is one for you. I was tempted to take up one star because of the cheap case..but meh..

I am an electrician, and I specialize in troubleshooting and fixing things other people can’t. My test equipment is how I make my money. The 117 is amazing. It is absolutely my favorite general purpose multi-meter. It is not an 87V or one of the higher end models, but it is a solid meter that gives reliable readings quickly. It in fact performs significantly better than its rated accuracy and precision as tested with my bench top HP meter. I can’t think of a bad thing to say about it, other than the capacitance feature only goes to 1000uF and with the back light on, the screen is difficult to read from more than ~30 degrees above (not below for some reason). The 117 has a low impedance voltage function which is fantastically useful. I would not buy a multi meter without a low-Z voltage function. The autoranging and continuity buzzer are very quick. The included leads are excellent quality. The adjustable shrouding with detents at the various CAT ratings is a cool feature. The bad: the 323 is basically a toy. The case feels cheap and is slippery. The rotary selector switch is OK, but the detent is not as firm as I would like. It doesn’t have any particularly useful features other than it being a clamp ammeter. It does not have a min/max feature- which is a major deficit. Measuring inrush current at start up is one of the most common uses of a clamp meter. It does not have a back light and no provision for adding a hanging strap. The 323 stays in the truck. My Klein clamp meter sees far more use than the 323.That being said- you are getting the 323 for a significant discount with this kit. If you don’t have another clamp meter or want a spare, it could be worthwhile to buy this kit.The included magnetic hanger for the 117 is of good quality. Very strong magnet and a good length. The included case is cheap, but that’s more or less expected. It is at least somewhat padded and of adequate size for a couple pairs of leads, both meters, and the manual.
