I had bought the first version if this meter when they first released it and it worked great. It had a button spot on the back that you touched to act as a ground while taking the no contact voltage readings and it was spot on everything. With this new model it says you need to attach the ground lead to a good ground source in order to get a good reading for the no contact voltage. I have tried it without doing that and it has given me a correct reading each time I tried it. I have always used Fluke brand meter at work and this one is on par with all my other meters. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a new/upgrade meter.

This is a good everyday carry tool. It has a smaller form factor and has a-lot of features. Definitely would recommend. The tester features an auto detect of AC or DC which is convenient when going between different types of equipment and quickly troubleshooting. I only wish the leads were a little bit longer.

I’ve been using this at work everyday it has come in handy being able to test for voltage without using the probes the only thing I wish it did was measure capacitance but besides that it’s been a really good tester

Hmm… new item but missing a screw. Had to find a plastic thread screw to secure the door. Meter fine, everything else present except a screw.

Can fast overnight before I left for work at 6am. Buit to last like all fluke products. My only concern would be it walking away on a job site. Love the inductive voltage read out. Seems accurate to within +or- a volt, when compared to probe readings on other flukes.

These are very nice units. Can be used for pretty much anything the average person might need a multimeter for. I use it primarily for solar applications. That said I can definitely see why HVAC techs like these things. They are built very well and have a small profile very easy to use with nice size display, tone alerts with visual alerts for noisy work places. Great all around meter for me. Hopefully it will be a while before I need a new one, that said I would definitely purchase again.

The Fluke T6-1000 PRO has been a fantastic addition to my toolkit. The FieldSense technology is a game-changer — measuring voltage and current without making direct contact with live wires makes my job not only faster but much safer. It’s perfect for troubleshooting on the fly without having to open circuits or pull apart panels. The open-fork design is super convenient and fits most wires I work with, though it’s limited to 17.8 mm. Once you get the hang of FieldSense (which doesn’t take long), the tool becomes second nature. The build quality is exactly what you’d expect from Fluke — rugged, reliable, and comfortable to use for extended periods.I also love the CAT III 1000V / CAT IV 600V safety rating, which gives me peace of mind when working on high-voltage equipment. If you’re in the electrical trade and want a tool that makes your work safer, faster, and more efficient, I can’t recommend the T6-1000 PRO enough. It’s worth every penny!

First of all I'd like to say for the past few years I've been using a fluke T5 - 1000 meter for my everyday basic testing, which had been useful and reliable (if somewhat limited and basic in its options...)This one was a hopeful replacement - better ohm range, the back-light and improved screen size rated highly on my reasons for buying this one as a upgrade. The fact it came with a holster and alligator clip seemed like a fantastic set to have in my tool bag.On opening the box it's clear the quality is there, the test probes fit far more securely into the rear terminals than the T5 and initially I felt I'd made a good purchase.Fieldsense whilst being a nice addition isn't something I could see myself using a great deal, they also appear to have removed the small metal touch point on the rear of this meter compared to the T6-1000 standard version.Sadly before I even peeled the film off I'm having to send it back to amazon who graciously offered me a free return and very helpful assistant that was available immediately even at half 11 at night.Reason? This meter relies on a ground connection using the negative lead to a earth reference point for the amp readings/Fieldsense to work.Sadly when you're testing double insulated appliances or using this meter on a ladder and checking amps one handed - the last thing you need is to be attaching crocodile clips to ground points (I'm assuming you'd need to use the neutral on a double insulated appliance which sort of makes the whole idea of non contact testing a bit redundant)The jaw gap is also far wider than the T5 which would make it difficult in small spaces. It's clear the wire must also be insert fully to the bottom line of the jaws before it recognises anything.Sadly there was no information to tell you this before purchase so it's a bit disappointing.Because the quality is good and amazon have been helpful allowing me to return this quickly and without issue - I have given this 3 stars.Hopefully this will help you a little in making a better informed decision prior to buying this meter.
