1. Square style with full black color of fish feeder. 2. The fish feeder is suitable for feeding flake foods and other floating foods. 3. Put foods into the circle, it will prevent food from floating around. (no use for sinking food)

My betta loves it too and as soon as he sees me come in the room he heads straight to it lol. Keeps the food from getting stuck in decorations and filters. I only wish this came in larger size for my hex tank. Too many fish in their to eat out of this feeder.

I love this. I'm so glad I got it. Before, my fishies wouldn't realize it was food time and the floating food pieces would float right into the filter and then suddenly be scattered throughout the tank. Now the food stays in a nice little contained area. This works really well with an auto feeder too. The floating food takes a while before it starts to sink, so it can sit there until the fishies realize it's there. Then it's feeding frenzy, but it's perfect for my 20 gallon long with guppies and amanos. Even the amanos love it. They hang off it and grab food from inside the opening. Clever little dudes... The suction cup is like most suction cups. It works fairly well. I had it come loose on it's own once. But since then, it's been a few weeks and it hasn't popped off again. If I get any more tanks, I'll be getting another one of these.

This really saved my filter. I put the food in the square floating on top of the tank and after about a week the fish have all figured out that is where the food comes from. It is pretty easy to install just stick it to the side of the tank at about water level so it floats. It isn't distracting from the tank and I think it has been a real food saver. Every once in a while my snail will even climb on it and clean it up for me although it doesn't get dirty unless I get lazy and drop food on it instead of in it! :)

The current on my filter nozzle is a little too strong for my betta fish, so I used this to help keep his food in place. The only bad thing is that since takes up a large corner of my tank, it prevents water from flowing well around it, making some stagnant water that can get a little icky. Make sure it will fit your aquarium dimensions.

I bought this to work with an automatic feeder so the food wouldn’t float away & all over my aquarium when it was dispensed.Unfortunately, this didn’t work as I’d hoped. If your aquarium has internal pumps (wave makers), this won’t work for you. The square ring floats, but the arm that attaches it to the aquarium wall is too rigid & therefore food is able to be blown away from the ring.If your tank doesn’t have water that circulates a lot, this could work for you.

Great idea but the execution is poor. This does exactly what it is supposed to do, which is to contain floating pallets in one place until your fish eats them so the sinking food does not contaminate the tank. But here is the deal. Calcium builds up where the square floater hinges the wire. So when you are on vacation and your tank water level starts to drop due to condensation, the hinge side of the floater loses contact with water and hangs above water level thus defeating the whole purpose of this unit. So it is fine if you just need it for a 2-3 day vacation. But it won't serve the purpose for longer time frames.

I have a very slow swimming gourami and this works great. My tetras kept snapping up all the food and the gourami couldn't keep up. Now he has his little 'dinner plate' he can eat out of. The trick is luring him over to it so he can start eating without the tetras noticing. Sometimes he forgets to eat out of it, so he's fighting for food, or the tetras go in the ring, but overall, I have a nice routine where I can get him in the ring first, sprinkle food in the ring - then sprinkle food in the other side of the tank for the tetras. This works because I can get the gourami to follow my finger to the ring and the tetras ignore my finger. So I can get him all lined up and eating. Then I quickly sprinkle food around the rest of the tank. So far so good!Note: It just sticks to the side and floats nicely at the top. Very easy to use. The opening is just the right size for the gourami.

I had been wondering if this might serve the purpose for containing floating plants in one place in my small fishtank (60x30cm) and noticed that another reviewer had used it with success for that purpose.I've just received an online order for some Amazonian frogbit and the batch of it sits perfectly in the feeding square, preventing the individual pieces from being circulated round and round the tank, sucked up in the filter or pushed to the motionless corner of the tank where the water doesn't circulate, or the fish's food becoming entangled in it. Additionally, I've just put food in the tank and it circulates round the water surface and behind this, continuing in its usual route ie doesn't get pushed up against this. The Amazonian frogbit looks impressive in it, and, in turn, it therefore serves as an ideal shelter for any timid tank inhabitants. The product is also 'discreet', professional-looking and well-made. In fact, I've just sent off for a second one so that the batch of Amazonian frogbit can be shared between the two feeding squares, enabling them to grow.Very happy indeed.

I thought I would try this to see if it worked for feeding my tropical fish. The feeding ring is well made, floats really well on top of the water, even with the lowering of the water level due to evaporation. My fish quickly figured out where to find their food and crowd around the ring during feeding time.I like that I can pretty much keep the floating fish food away from my filter. My fish eat their food very rapidly - within seconds, not minutes, and this ring really helps contain the drop area. The ring is large enough so that all my fish can crowd under and around it and still get access to their food. I am sold on using this product and will be using one in each of my tanks.

Suction cup rubber is nice and soft, sticks well.Floats stable like it should.Using it for feeding a turtle.Much better than having them search for the food which gets soggy and contaminates the tank.Feeding happens a lot quicker with this.
Hope this helps

It's simply perfect and serves its purpose well. The thing about it is that I specifically use it for my betta and his betta pellets and blood worms. He is housed in a 5 gallon tank with a powered (adjustable) filter. Thus, the water surface always had a reasonable amount of current even at its lowest settings. This meant that his food would go all over the tank...and since he is the only one currently there, it meant a lot of hide and seek before the food was cleared. So if he missed some food, that would mean it would wind up in the tank rotting since pellets are so small and easy to miss. The worms also had a tendency to sink after being swirled around a bit. With this 2"X2" ring, the food isn't swept away or forced to sink. On top of that, my betta appreciates it because they generally prefer calmer currents...and the ring disrupts the current in the feeding area. It floats well and adjusts to water evaporation very well.
