We have a fish tank and every time we go on vacation, we had to ask our cousins to come over. Now with this automatic fish feeder it is super convenient to set precise feeding times and portions, giving me peace of mind when I'm away. The moisture proof design keeps the food in tact and the power set up with reliable. It has WiFi connectivity to ensure I can make adjustments too.

I'm starting by giving this a tentative 5 star review. The stars are for the features and the cool factor. This is my third purchase of this type of feeder. The first two were unbranded and looked and operated identical to this one. Unfortunately they stopped working after a very short time and I threw them away. This one is a name brand that I've used before so I'm hoping to get a longer lifespan from it.A quick summary of my experiences with this feeder:Designed for rimless tanks or can be clipped to an overflow. It doesn't open enough for normal rimmed tanks.App design is feature rich and even lets you know when it gives an empty feeding.Tends to clog up if too close to the water or you have fish that splash while feeding.A little complicated to set up and sometimes difficult to set up with your wifi network. Make sure to only use 2.4GHz.Remote feedings are possible from the app.Live viewing from the camera lets you download videos or stills. . You can also landscape for full screen and even pinch to zoom in. The image is pretty decent but don't expect 4KLarge food capacityOverall, if it lasts it stays as a 5 star product due to the great features provided.

I’ve owned several Hygger products in the past and have been very satisfied, so I was excited to try out this Smart Feeder with Camera. Unfortunately, my experience with this product has been a mix of pros and cons, and it’s not quite the hassle-free solution I had hoped for.Pros:* Easy-to-Use App: The app is intuitive and makes programming the feeder straightforward. You can set as many feeding times as you need and adjust the portion size with ease.* Works with Flake Food: Despite the instructions advising against using flake food, I tested it with the larger impeller, and it worked perfectly—better than most other feeders I’ve tried.* Camera Performance: The included camera delivers a bright and clear image, even automatically switching to infrared when the lights go out. It’s a great way to monitor your tank while away.Cons:* Clamp Design: The feeder clamp is too small for aquariums with rims, making it unusable for most rimmed tanks. The alternative mounting option involves cutting a hole in your aquarium hood and attaching the mount with double-sided tape, which is not ideal for many users (myself included).* Permanent Camera Mounting: The camera attaches with double-sided tape, making it a permanent fixture unless you find a temporary solution, like taping it with Scotch tape as I did during testing.* No Power Supply Included: The feeder does not come with a power supply, requiring an additional purchase.Final Thoughts:If you own a rimless tank and don’t mind the permanent mounting options, this feeder could work well for you. It’s easy to program, works reliably (even with flake food), and the camera offers great visibility for monitoring your tank. However, for those with rimmed tanks or who prefer more flexible mounting options, this feeder may prove to be more trouble than it’s worth.

The clamp attachment is too thin to attach to the side of tank bc of the framing lip on tank. I really don’t want to use tape n to always have it on tank, but maybe just for camera fun. Feeder for now is ok, it says I can use the type of food on list but also says same food no 🤷♀️I’m ordering round pellets to try instead.The camera is awesome.Haven’t tried the automatic feeder away from home yet which is the whole purpose of purchase. Luckily I have an extension cord with usb plugs as it DOES NOT come w adapter. For the money I’m not really impressed with the lack of information provided or quality and ease of use on the unit.
