Did NOT work. Went out and purchased a hammer drill just for this purpose! Total waste of money!! Gets stuck in the log 98% of the time. Don't waste your money!

I had high hopes of splitting a bunch of short dry logs into firewood. I had 6 inch diameter logs, 4 inch, 10 inch. I tried drilling into the center of the end, into the end just a few inches from the outside of the log, into the side of the log, into pre-existing cracks. With battery drills it just locks and spins. With a corded drill it drills in and freezes up. but it never split any log.and because it has a threaded connector, you can't take the bit out of the wood by reversing the drill. you have to use a pipe wrench. it just sucks. i should have watched the videos first.

This is a great idea, but not practical for regular drills.I even tried a brand new corded hammer drill, and it wasn't strong enough to split the wood. The drill just stops spinning.Unless you have a very powerful drill, which most home owners do not have, this product will not work well. The product itself it's great. I had no problems with it at all. But, the power behind the grill is key.

Works great with dry wood only 🪵

Despite the video, you need a heavy drill and a good way to anchor the log. I had neither, and the splitter siezed causing the log to spin and hit my leg - several times. When I anchored the log, the drill spun around and hit me. It works OK on soft wood, but it is a pain on hard wood such as oak.

When you see this in advertising it seems really easy to use..lol.. think again. Your wood better be aged and dry for this product. Did not work for me on wet green wood.

Was supposed to split small logs using a hand drill. It went into a 2" log but just got stuck in it and when I reversed the drive on the drill, it unscrewed the bit from the device. Perhaps my drill was under powered and you should use an impact wrench but that is not the way the video shows how this operates. Very disappointed in this product. Would not buy again.
