I thought I already reviewed this, but I see that I did not. Ooops! This log splitter is just what I needed. It's certainly capable of doing the job without being too big or too costly. You will need some type of table or similar means of support toplace the unit on. I lucked out - I placed mine on an old exercise bench that the owner was giving away for free! I have it in my basement, and simply tote the logs I need split from my outdoor rack for the evening's fire pit via some heavy-duty shopping bags. I love the ease of operation and the dual-activation method for safety purposes. Love the power of hydraulics! The "Earthquake" has been able to handle anything I've given it to split. I expect to have many years of happy evening fires to enjoy.

The machine works great! There is high assumed level of knowledge about hot to use effectively and safely, because the how-to documentation is just not much. But for an experienced person, it's a no brainer. This thing is not for your village idiot types, but it it safer than swinging a sledge or axe. Operation is simple and the two handed activation is a great safety feature for those prone to only being able to count to nine. Very quiet and acceptable for indoor use. Works fine on a 12 amp breaker line, with an extension chord. I imagine with heavy use or age it may require a 15 amp. PACKAGING is completely inadequate for the variables of home delivery. The box and packing material were were completely destroyed, but the unit is fine. An engineer would say that proves the packaging is excellent, but I have no idea how there was no damage or missing parts. If you order this and there is damage upon delivery, I would take pictures before opening the box, in case there is an issue. Most of the machine is nearly indestructible, but the electrical control box is very vulnerable in shipping, as packaged.

The Earthquake 32230 log splitter stand and tray kit has transformed my log splitting experience! This heavy-duty steel construction provides exceptional stability and durability, ensuring I can tackle even the toughest logs with confidence. 🌟 The removable log tray is a thoughtful addition, making it easy to catch and manage split logs without any hassle. The sturdy transport wheels are a game-changer, allowing me to move the log splitter effortlessly from one location to another. I’d be thrilled if Amazon or the vendor sent me more outdoor tools to enhance my gardening and woodworking projects! If you're looking for a reliable and functional log splitter stand, I highly recommend this kit!

I absolutly love this wood splitter! It's very well made and the stand makes it way to use, no bending over and easy to store away. It splits very efficiently, quick and easy. Kindling?, no problem! I wouldn't walk to buy this....RUN!

Just got this a few days ago and used it a little. So far I like it. I especially like the stand with the tray. I would not like it without the tray.

This has been a life saver for me and my body. I cut all my firewood ( I have a small stove) with it and worked like a charm. My only regret is that, I wish I had bought the stand with it. It is very low to the ground to work the two controls that must be used at the same time. ( I have figured a way to do so using a long handle for the push button and my foot for the lever) so I can operate it while standing.) But the stand would definitely be a great addition. It has good sized wheels on one end and the handles in the opposite making it fairly easy to move around. It’s naturally nit as fast or powerful as a gas operated and larger ton. But it does what is need and does it well, cuts a 10” round, and I was splitting hard maple, red fir and pine. Maple is knotty and very hard when dry/ seasoned I could not split by hand, some maneuvering depending on shape and size and I managed to get it all split on this.

I was excited to get this wood splitter. I received it with the box in pretty rough shape. I thought oh that can happen with shipping. My husband opened it and plugged it in. It would just trip the breaker. Pulled it into better lighting and saw that it had been used. You can clearly see the marks. We never did get it to even come on. We are in the process of returning it. Will update later

Packaging was ridiculous! Thin cardboard box with broken styrofoam sheets carrying a 120 pound piece of equipment!! Three parts were bent! Box was falling apart when it arrived. However, after about three hours of use, the splitter performed very well. The stand makes all the difference… being able to stand rather than bending over or sitting is a real plus.
