Don’t waste your money it has zero cheeks to it. Spend alittle more and get a better version of this one

This kindling splitters functionality had poor results for me, as the axe head is pretty short, the boy can’t go down far enough to fully chop through the kindling… it was fairly easy to use, and durability seemed very good, but as for the design, it did not work very well for me.

Works great for me. I use to split small firewood for a back patio fire pit.

I use this small splitter to split firewood into 7 inch long pcs wide as my thumb and soaked in a large jar filled with kerosene as firestarters. I've experimented with many firestarters over the years but this one is the best!!!

Used it first night here. I found it easier if sticks/boards are only 3 inches longer than the height of splitter.Makes a fast job of the chore of making kindling. I atttached mine to a 4”X6” piece of wood. It help stableize the splitter while in use. Also does not take much effort to split unless of course there is always the piece with too many knots.

Bought this little guy to split kindling for my smoker. Cannot believe how well it works. Much sharper than I anticipated. You will have to mount it to something so that it will stand up without falling over. I had some old 4X6's laying around that worked great for a base. If you're looking to split firewood (ie logs), you'll need to go with a larger model. But if all you're splitting is small stuff for kindling, this will work great.

Smaller than I thought it would be. But it works. I keep it in my RV to use while camping.

Logs have to be very short, like 10” for this to work. Did not realize how tiny and narrow this thing is - if it was wider or had flanges, it might be able to split longer logs. It works OK for kindling though. Not very sharp, maybe for safety? Also, the holes line up exactly with the blade making it a bit awkward to install. (Also, did you notice the first 2 reviews have the exact same photo?)
