The plugs are great but the fire starter rod doesn’t work worth a damn. Not worth the money IMO.

It seemed like a good idea but the ferro rod is VERY thin, and the striker has no edge and is covered in orange paint. It is impossible to get a spark as it was delivered. I may grind an edge onto the striker but if you're counting on this to work out of the box you are out of luck. The starter plugs themselves seem ok but some seem much "dryer" than others and I haven't tested them since the included ferro rod is worthless.

These firestarters burn really well but can be difficult to get them prepped to receive a spark. They stick together with extreme tenacity, making it difficult to get a good surface for sparks.Works great with a lighter! Just not what I was hoping for.

Not sure how these have a 5 star review. They’re cheap but I wouldn’t rely on them if they get wet the ferro rod it’s self isn’t terrible just small but that was expected but the striker is a joke. All in all not bad for cheap fire starters for around home or at the camp ground but not good if you’ll be around water or wet conditions. “Survival boy” wouldn’t make it very far….

Great kit to throw in the bugout gear, or for camping in inclement weather.The wax plugs are solid (cold weather) and housed well.Only improvement would be a water tight container.

Pull one out, fluff it up and light it. The burn time was very good. Makes lighting a campfire easy.

This pack will fit a large rear rack, Bakcou Mule,. just received and mounted on ebike today. Initial opinion is very good. They are large and roomie. Material appears to top notch and well constructed. Waterproofing and durability will be tested in the mountains after Christmas on a two week hunt. will report back if problems are encountered. But again initial impression is very good.
