Replacement Considerations:

1. Fire blankets should be replaced after use in a fire due to potential damage from the high temperatures.

2. Even if a fire blanket has not been used, consider replacing it if you notice any signs of wear and tear, such as fraying, holes, or visible damage to the material. a damaged fire blanket may not be effective in extinguishing a fire.

3. While fire blankets do not have a definitive expiry date, replacing them every 7-10 years for safety or earlier if the blanket shows any signs of damage is recommended.

This product and the gloves for fires are must haves in the kitchen and garage. It will not spread the fire(s) like a fire extinguisher. Buy is a must! Eom

I bought this as an alternative to a fire extinguisher for my kitchen area. It's compact, light weight, easy to use and will be an easy clean up if I have a kitchen fire. This an amazing invention and excellent alternative.

I gave this fire blanket to my son as a Christmas gift when we gathered a few days before Christmas. On Christmas Eve, he left the house with his 2 year old son, but went back when he realized he forgot his phone. His dog was in a crate. When he got in the house he discovered that his two year old had turned on the burner of the stove before they left, and there was a pizza box on top of it. It was fully engulfed in fire with flames reaching the ceiling. The fire blanket did its job, and smothered the fire completely. There was smoke damage, but the house and dog were saved. Best gift I ever gave.

Purchased the day after we had a fire on our outdoor balcony from a non-extinguished cigarette. We now have them in the kitchen, laundry room, attic, and garage. We also purchased them for our condo and for our kids for their homes. Safety never takes a holiday. Definitely worth the money and easy to use. Hopefully, we won’t have to use them.

We have not had occasion to use it and hopefully will not. But everyone really appreciated the thought and practicality of the gift.

I ordered these fire blankets to keep around my house in case of fire. I have them stored inn the kitchen and by our wood stove and hope that I never have to use them. My son is a firefighter and he said that theyuy really work. They are a good value and seem very well made.

We got this for fire emergencies. Sometimes using an extinguisher can be overwhelming in the event of an emergency, and we found fire blankets as an alternative to have in addition to an extinguisher. The blankets come 40"x40" true to size when unfolded. It's definitely for smaller fires to put out quick before they grow. This kit came with 4 blankets for the same price as others were selling 1 or 2.Instructions are simple. Pull the blanket out and cover the fire with it until it cools. It feels heavy enough to stay on top of a fire without blowing away, but still light enough to throw around. If someone's clothes catch fire this feels plenty durable to stop, drop, and roll in without tearing. The package says that this is a one time use product. That being said this is very similar material that I use to protect surroundings when I use a torch to repair plumbing lines. After an emergency use I would cut it up and use for that purpose.

Nothing to dislike about them as I haven't needed to use them yet. The problem with fire extinguisher canisters is the expiration date I see whenever I clean my cabinets or pantry. Canisters are bulky and inconvenient in the kitchen environment and tend to get lost and forgotten. This product is so sensible and easily set close at hand that it promises to be much more valuable in an emergency .
