I used the FiberWeld Pipe Repair Cast 2x48 for a pipe repair, and I’m extremely impressed with how well it worked. The kit is easy to use, and the instructions were straightforward, which made the application process quick and simple. The repair cast is strong and durable, creating a solid, long-lasting fix for damaged pipes.Once applied, the cast hardened quickly, forming a tight, reliable seal that held up even under pressure. It’s perfect for both small and larger pipe repairs, and I feel confident that it will last for a long time without any issues.I highly recommend this product to anyone in need of a fast and effective pipe repair solution. It saved me a lot of time and hassle compared to other repair methods. Definitely a must-have for any DIYer or homeowner!Pros: • Easy to apply • Creates a strong, durable seal • Hardens quickly and holds up under pressure • Great for small or large pipe repairs • Reliable and long-lasting

Works like a charm! Wasn’t sure how this would stick had a pinhole leak from thin copper pipe. Wrapped it clockwise and counter with this and it’s held for 2 months so far!

It is not easy to try and use this on a pipe that is already in the wall and is not 360 degree accessible. Really messy. I could not get a good seal on the pipe so it really did not work. I could see where it would work if you had room to work on the pipe but not while in the wall

Product that I received looks like stored or transported incorrectly because one of the components (cold weld) has been activated and doesn’t mix properly with hands.Overall this kit not work as I expected.

Multiple holes in a copper pipe, read instructions, bit disbelieving of how this was going to repair my issue, it was like magic before my eyes. No leaks at all

During some remodeling, one of my water pipes ended up getting nicked by a saw. Although it wasn't leaking, I wanted to make sure it was going to be safe once I closed up the wall. The epoxy mixed fairly evenly, and was easy to apply. The kit includes a pair of gloves to protect your hands. Applying the tape was more of a challenge -- it's fairly slippery when activated, and getting it wrapped around the pipe tightly took a little trying. Luckily you have plenty of time to get it in place. Overall I'm glad I bought it, and I feel much more confident that the pipe won't leak.

This is a complete FAIL! I prepped the pipe to allow the epoxy putty to get a clean and good grip. I mixed the putty completely. I feathered the edges slightly to provide a good and wide edge overlap with the good pipe. Then I mixed the water into the pouch using the JB Weld Youtube video as a guide. Then I applied the tape. The tape almost immediately started to move on it's own. This is the purpose for the black wrap has to be to keep the white tape in place. Well I did that too. I did not turn the water on in an hour as they claim this is the needed time. I waited until the next day. Yes, the pipe is leaking still. And now this humongous mess in stuck on the pipe. The section of pipe will have to be cut out and replaced. What a STUPID waste of time, money and effort. I did try their marine epoxy before this and guess what? It never really got hard. You can scrape it off with a screwdriver blade. No more JB Weld anything ever again!

But these kits are actually awesome and totally effective on copper pipes. It’s a bit messy and awkward the first one, so far I’ve done three and they got easier as I went. The black “sock” that fits over the top you are apparently supposed to remove as the product dries…don’t bother, just leave it on there. If you wait a few seconds too long you won’t have a choice anyway, this is extremely strong fast drying resin stuff, that literally does harden to strong molded fiberglass, practically porcelain or something. Essentially a five step process, first shut off water mains and drain out the pipes completely, next there’s thick two tone putty, that you press and fold between your finger to mix to one grey color (gloves included for this are required it’s sticky stuff). You then apply this putty over the leak, wrapping around the area. Next there’s the goopy mess part: a roll of moist fiber tape is soaked briefly in water. You then unroll this and wrap it as tightly as possible around the putty area, good idea to go at least a couple inches on either side of this. Gloves are essential, I got a little on my land and it took about three days to get it all off. This is really goopy mess work, but once you get it, it’s sort of goof proof to get a good thick layer where you want it. Last there is a roll of sticky black sock like material you wrap over the top to secure it all in place. I’ve noticed the sticky fiber tape is bubbling a bit as you apply this. Let dry for about an hour before turning water back on. Done. This combination hardens to extremely strong hard tough sealant material. I’ve now done three leaks, all totally successful and have been totally dry for over a month. I’d believe these will last for years, possibly many years. Great stuff for the cheap relatively easy fix!
