Be aware that this product is not battery operated. The 6 AAA batteries are only present to keep the date and clock from resetting when you unplug the device from the wall. In order to take measurements and log data, the unit *must* be plugged into the wall. If you do not need to be mobile, this device may work for you.I rate this product as two stars primarily because I believe the product to be misleading. While it does not explicitly state that the unit can run on battery power alone, I have never known any other device to use a full 6xAAA 9v battery bank to power a real-time clock. It is also very typical for CO2/temperature/humidity monitors and dataloggers of this size to run off of batteries or a wall adapter. The response I received from tech support was that it was clearly stated in the documentation that the batteries only power the clock. While this is technically true, the only place where this is stated is on the final page of the user's manual in small print in the subsection that gives details on the required power supply. I would argue that a consumer's due diligence should not have to include reading the full user's manual to the final page. Additionally, the fact that the battery limitation is mentioned at all is evidence that the company realizes this is atypical.Aside from the battery issue, the device is of mediocre build quality and the buttons felt cheap and were not particularly responsive. Each button press is accompanied by a very loud and high pitched chirp, rendering this exceptionally unpleasant to use in quiet locations. I cannot speak to the quality of the data that the device produces, as I will be sending this unit back and ordering a device from a different manufacturer.

Good value, does work, clear and easy to use, solid enough, and does not required a special software (Excel file format). However, there is a big issue about the battery!(Warning) this device required to be plugged into a power outlet all the time, although it has 6 high-performance batteries at the same time! Thus, it is not 100% portable. In other words, the device need both power outlet and 6 high-performance batteries duration of use and recoding data! Why it need 6 high-performance batteries? for saving data in case the power is cut! my PC need one tinny flat battery!ooh.. by the way, the device will not work without installing these batteries even if you plug into socket! In addition, I did not like the separated sensor (CO2), its cable is too short and I prefer if the sensor was included the device structure.
