This works great on mild steel pipe and aluminum pipe. It will work on stainless as well but the process takes longer do to the nature of stainless. Just be patient when using stainless exhaust pipe.

Works just lube up inside of pipe with silicone or soap DONT use grease or oil it will destroy o ring

I purchased this expander to use on a 2 1/2 inch chrome tailpipe so it would fit on the existing muffler. I only needed to expand the ID of the pipe by about a 1/4 inch. This was my first time using an expander and the tool worked as described. I used regular hand tools, no air compressor or impact driver. You have to take your time, rotate the device (so the pipe does not get squared off) and keep the expander well greased (so that it does not get stuck). It should work, good luck

Received package at my home today. Pulled it out to expand the exhaust pipe. Took all but 10 seconds to get the job done. This is absolutely a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ purchase ladies and gentlemen!
