Gauge was very easily wired with the directions provided. Research the correct wires inside the car to splice into. Great for reading lean/rich with narrow band 02 while accelerating or WOT not so much at idle. I am happy with its operation based on its limited capabilities.

Works good. I don't know why any modified engine would be without this.

I installed a wide band oxygen sensor in each exhaust pipe near exhaust outlet of cylinder head of air cooled Boxer style flat twin motorcycle and in conjunction with this Equus 8366 Air/Fuel Ratio Gauge, I'm able to dial in the jetting of the Keihin 32mm CVK carburetor. Much easier than trying to read hot spark plugs by the side of the road. Whats more, the results are repeatable regardless of the quality or lack thereof of the fuel. There was a problem with the first one I ordered, it did not work at all, (LED s would not illuminate). Amazon, with one e-mail to them issued a free return postage slip that I only had to put on the package and hand to my mail man. They shipped a replacement that same day.The new one they sent works great, this is the first problem with any goods I have ordered from Amazon and they stepped up perfectly.Very simple hookup, one wire from left O2 sensor, one wire from right O2 sensor, 12VDC hot and ground from switchable source.

I purchased this item (2" Air/Fuel Ratio Guage - 8000 Series) last month through Amazon.com and finally today had the chance to install it on my vehicle. I followed the instructions exactly as outlined on the literature that came with the gauge but I am having a problem. My vehicle has only one oxygen sensor so I used the single large spade connector to connect it. The manual tells me that this should make both sides of the indicator light up in the same sequence. Unfortunately, only the right side moves up and down as the air/fuel ratio changes. The left side indicator remains at full rich (top yellow indicator). I tried connecting the terminal to only one contact on the back of the guage and there was no change (only the right side moved, left indicator remained full rich). When I moved the terminal to the other contact on the back of the guage, both indicators (left and right) remained at the top yellow (rich indicator). This leads me to believe that the guage is defective and was even in the original packaging.I feel that this is something that should be replaced at no cost to me and would like to know how to proceed. At the present time I am using this on a single oxgen sensor configuration but intend on using it with two sensors very soon, which would be impossible with only one side of the meter working. This is my fourth Equus guage in this vehicle alone and I have had no problems until now. I have contacte Equus and they have informed me that I would have to return the item to them in the United States at my own shipping cost. I personally feel this is unreasonable and would like a replacement guage sent to me at no cost to myself.

First, Amazon's product description was a bust. They advertised it as a fuel pressure gage with a black face. What you see is what was sent--a white faced dual air/fuel ratio gage. The Technical side:1. Equus' telephone technical support was marginal at best. The representative did not sound confident in subject knowledge nor information he presented. Bottom line is don't expect any "technical" assistance from Equus.2. The gage and led display is excellent and easy to wire/install. No hidden problems there and the leds are bright/easy to see and the display responds to O2 inputs rapidly and without lag.3. The product instructions completely lack beneficial presentation interpretation. That is, what does the information presented on the gage really mean? Depending on the engine; the type of O2 sensors; the installed location of the O2 sensors; and whether the engine is injected or carburated, all result in different gage presentation personalities. For instance on my application, the gage presents "optimal" readings when at cruise settings, but the entire display completely disappears when full (carburated) throttle is selected. I have yet to be able to determine if this is a normal gage response or O2 sensor limitations. The engine runs fine/strong at full throttle with all the indications of proper fuel/air mixture, so why does the gage go totally blank? It would be nice if Equus' Technical Support could offer the answer, but that limitation has already been identified.Bottom line is that this is a very nice "gee-whiz gadget" gage, but I can't recommend it as a realistic tuning tool until the reason for going totally blank at full throttle can be corrected.
