I drive a 2010 Mazda3 I Touring Sedan (108,000 mi.). My check engine light came on and my code reader threw a code PO182 "Sensor 1 Bank 1". I replaced my upstream O2 sensor with a Chinese ECCPP O2 sensor from Amazon which "fits your 2010 Mazca3 I Touring Sedan." My original sensor was extremely difficult to loosen - even with penetrating oil, preheating the exhaust pipe and the appropriate O2 removing tool. The threads in the bung were in terrible condition but unbelievably I was able to clean up the threads with the appropriate tool. I installed the new sensor without difficulty and cleared the code. My check engine light came on again about 10 mi later. Amazon replaced the O2 sensor for free and I repeated the process. Same problem. I bought this Denso O2 sensor because it was the same as was originally in my car. I installed it and it seems to work perfectly. I learned: don't waste your valuable time on crap and, with this particular car, you MUST have the O2 removal tool and the thread cleaning tool - without either this project would have been impossible.

Paid a little bit more for this particular brand of O2 sensor and I'm glad that I did. Denso makes a lot of parts for OEM and it is no doubt a quality sensor, well build, exact match to the OEM sensor that I replaced so it is essentially a plug and play replacement. Came with a small pack of anti-seize grease also. Met all my expectation.

Great fit, replaced original perfectly. Original was shorted internally. ZCaused codes to be stored and was actually so bad as to cause extremely poor running of engine. Replaced with Denso AFR sensor and restored engine management to original working condition.

Got rid of the check engine light and the fuel economy is back up, but the $290 price seems excessive (this one sensor is 1.8% of what a new Mazda3 costs).I did try a cheaper third party sensor first, but Amazon screwed that one up since despite their compatibility checker's assurance that it would fit, it didn't (not even the correct number of wires). After that experience I just went and bought this one - which is the original part.I only hope it lasts longer than the 32,000 miles the first one did.
