Right out of the box very simple to set up and play. A beginner would have no problem figuring it out and how to use it. Drum sounds are clear and realistic the only thing missing is talent. If you have no rhythm you canât play drums

Left pedal does not always work. Left lower drum is muted. Not bad for the price. My 6 year old great grand daughter loves it.

Everyone in the family loves playing these electronic drums! There's a variety of sounds to choose from, and it sounds pretty decent with the built-in speakers. The pedals work well, and the drumsticks are nice and sturdy. The headphone jack allows you to play without disturbing others. The only downside is that I could not figure out how to use the drums with a mobile DAW. I like to record with GarageBand on my iPad, but unfortunately I tried a lot of different ways and still couldn't get it to record or use it as a midi controller. The item listing photos show connectivity with a phone and computer and even specifically lists iOS and Android compatibility. However, there are no instructions for doing so. Being able to connect a USB cable doesn't mean it will actually do anything! It would be helpful if the manufacturer included information about where to download a driver for the drums or other information for actually using them with a mobile device or computer.

As a drummer I can't pass up on any chance to play a drum kit, but really suspected this would be a toy. I was surprised to find that it has a decent sound even from the small speakers, many different sounding drum kits to choose from, many different styles of accompanying music to play along with, many beats to practice along with, responsive pads, and a couple pedals to make it feel more realistic. I immediately got to playing the snare on the table and kick drum on the floor, but opening the hihat was slightly more hit and miss and takes some practice. The hihat is a little too close to the snare but I'm able to play hihat right-handed crossing over in the traditional style, though kids may naturally take to playing it left-handed. Three tom toms with decent sounds, two crash cymbals, and even a ride cymbal. What I enjoyed the most was playing along with accompanying music, and some of them were even a bit challenging like what I believe may be called 7/8 jazz rhythm but I'm not classically trained and only play by ear. It's a great way for a new drummer to start learning a variety of rhythms and decide whether they're interested in graduating up to a full set later on. I've owned several full sets including a professional electronic drum set, and this kept me engaged for a good 30 minutes. There are definitely better kits out there and worth spending more money if a person is interested, but this is a great starter kit. You can even record yourself playing, though the recording is lost once it's turned off. It will also output to a receiver or headphones, and is midi compatible though I didn't try that out. You'll need a table to play it on and the cords will reach from there to the floor to play the foot pedals. Includes a couple lightweight drumsticks which are fine for playing this kit as anything heavier could do some damage, though this seems to have stood a pounding from my playing it and does leave some stick marks on the rubber but nothing too bad. And for any amateur drummers who can't stop playing when traveling, this would be easy to bring along on a trip just to keep you entertained. Oh, and it's rechargeable with included USB-A to USB-C cable but no power supply.

I cannot say how much excitement I have when it arrived. I played with with it as I open the box. There is two pedals, one for the high hat and one for the bass drum. You need a table and a chair to play this right. I have to say you need to really hit it harder than you should on some areas to produce the sound so that kinda need some improvement on this. I am not sure how recording works yet but its a cool feature. Nice that it has built in speaker. Its a decent drum kit but definitely has room for improvement.
