the ratings are not right electrically for a reed switch .One cannot switch 120 v at 100 mA .To get it to live use 5-12 vdc with a relay , put a diode 1n4007 across the relay coil such that bar of diode ( stripe ) is toward the positive end of coil when on . Dont get it wrong you will hurt switch . When it shuts off ( opens) the diode suppresses the spark inside the switch . Will live forever . All the complaints if failures on here are due to overloading switch due to incorrect info / use in 120 v reaky or loads

I use it to stop the pump when the water towner is full in my off grid garden. I have it run through a relay to start and stop the pump. Works very well.

Use these to prevent a cooling reservoir from overfilling for a hobby. They've worked reliably for 3+ years and control the water pump on a good hysteresis loop that allows for good on/off cycling.

Needed a new float for an existing switch . Manufacturer wanted $173.46 for a whole new switch and wouldn't sell me just the float ! I don't know if this unit even works , but the float did and now i have a spare too . Ha Ha Ha .

would be nice to have an easier adapter at the end to find an attachment for. An easy to use switch.

Sorry, but People can not read directions. It works IN either NO or NC. Just Flip FloatYes, It can also be mounted from TOP or Bottom.IF IT FAILS its because you are trying to pull too much power through it.It is designed to switch a relay or something that pulls lower than 20Va.This thing is currently operating the water level in a Industrial Hot water Parts Washing machine. Water temps are 180 F. It is constanly having to fill. BUT as the directions explain, you need to use a relay to drive the water solenoid. I found one solenoid that is used for Ice Makers that is lower than 20 Va.

This lasted about 1 month in use before switch failed in closed position continuously. No movment in either direction of float would stop my alarm from sounding. Absolute cheap junk
