Would I buy again- Definitely NOT!Anyone who gave this a positive review has not used the product. Seldom have I been totally disappointed in a product such as this. People may get hurt using this - Amazon may want to reconsider providing this productPros- good idea if executed correctly- but it's notCons: 1) Not at all stable when attached to side of pool, tub or boat-- slides off EVERY time-- you MUST have some way of blocking the top hooks form moving or sliding-- a lip of some sort is essential, or it will 100% slide off wall-- it WILL move when it is stepped on. 2 Design- the lower bracing points that contact the wall are engineered and placed poorly- it comes placed above the second step; the bottom step extends well below it. The minute the bottom step is weighted the frame pivots, the top hooks slide completely off the pool wall and fall into water. The physics of this product are simply wrong. I repositioned the bracing arms just above the lower step (needed to disassemble the product- redrill screw holes etc.) to stop product from autorotating off edge and falling into water.3) Aluminum tubing is too light -uses thin walled 1" nominal tubing -- way to flexible- top legs literally bow when any rung is stepped on- this also contributes to why product won't stay in place- the entire frame deforms when stepped on.4) Step design- these actually where strong but the amazon picture is a deception. The ladder width measures a little over 12" wide. The illustration of a small child fitting between them is a photoshop miracle. No child i know that of that age has a shoulder width less than 12 inches. the hip width of any adult over 5'4"" using this is wider and will force you to lean back (displacement problem) or bring your legs almost impossibly close together--- It is simply too narrow- I would suggest a minimum width of 15-24 inches- both to permit adult use , center load and to stabilize frame twist. The step width is 2 1/2" wide- a little narrow too. A wider step would make this product safer and easier to mount for teenagers and adults.5) Metal finish: - The ends of the thin-walled aluminum tubing had burs and were simply covered with very thin, cheap rubber like flexible slide-on end caps- Don't expect them to last very long. The poor metal finishing will certainly accelerate them cutting through. When perforated, they will scratch or mar your top deck surface. The lower plastic bracing arms are more likely to survive and if perforated wont damage the pool side wall or boat hull because they are not metal.Bottom line - this could be a great product- but it's not

I got this stairs as an alternative exit to our pool. It's very simple to install, as you just unfold it to the right position and just lay it over the area you want it to sit. There is no way to fix it to the surface it lays against, so it moves a lot. It is not meant to be a permanent stair. It will help people get out of the pool, but it will wobble and move a lot.

Very Happy. Used to enter/exit a spa for someone who just had both knees replaced.Due to curved sides of spa, I had to add 2 braces, 2-1.25" pvc "t's" with 11" pipe (over the stand out legs) and 2-1" "t's" with pipe (not glued) at the base of the handles to keep it from collapsing. However, I didn't need to physically modify it. It is easy to remove so we can cover the spa and collapse it to store on the wall. Saved us from having to build something or modify the deck and spa house.

The part of the handles that goes over the edge of pool is very narrow. Only meant for very skinny edges

The aluminum pool ladder sold by Edou is wonderful and so simple. I have a hard time getting out of the pool and installing an after-market ladder can be expensive. Even this type of no-tool install ladder can be expensive so I was happy to get this one. Basically, I just carried the ladder out to the pool and looked for the place I wanted the steps and I put the ladder in the water. I hope this ladder continues to work as well for me as it does now.
