Product did not work correctly. I bought this and then purchased another one from an automotive shop. Because my scanner told me my pressures were at fifty eight. And this gage was warped inside and only went to 25P. S I showing that it was not working correctly compared to the one that should

Gauge and adapter look to be good quality however gauge threads appear to have weld slag in them that will need to be cleaned. There is no pressure relief and included hose is a refrigeration charge hose. Unsure yet if it is safe to use and rated to use with diesel.

the fact that an adapter is needed for the pressure gauge is lame. for the price the hose should have an npt fitting for direct hookup of the gauge. yes, this is clear enough from the images, but I wouldn't trust the 4an male fitting on the hose now that I've had the chance to see it first hand. for $29 the harbor freight gauge is in many ways a cleaner solution. I have both.

I used this to test the fuel pressure on my 2005 F350 6.0 diesel. I can't complain about the function. The gauge is nice and the fittings did not leak. I used appropriate teflon tape on the threads. The cap fit well on the fuel filter housing, also with no leaks using the o-ring from the filter kit (not included with the test cap). I don't know how well the a/c charging hose will hold up to diesel fuel over time, but initially I had no problems. The annoying issue was with the allen plug in the test port hole. The new cap is shipped with an allen plug, which appears to be ferrous steel. This must be removed to install the brass adapter fitting. It was very difficult to remove the plug. Using the correctly sized allen wrench, it did not budge. I stripped out the head of the plug trying to get it out. I debated about sending the thing back, but I wanted to get this pressure test done and didn't feel like waiting. I ended up drilling it out. For me, this was but an annoyance. Others may not be as equipped to drill out a steel plug from an aluminum part without damaging the aluminum. I couldn't tell if it was stuck from galling (being dissimilar metals) or if there was a hint of thread lock in there. I question why a plug is needed there at all, but there may be a very good reason.I did not want to take a chance at leaks long term, so I did not leave the test cap in place for normal operation.

Now it’s easy to know fuel pump pressure before OEM cap had no access

Was what wanted. Never first came with the brass fitting. Wanted new fitting. They did resolve by sending a whole new product with the fitting, charged me like half cost. Frustrating to get only part of a advertised product in first place.

Worked good assembled with Teflon tape and screwed down to my fuel filter cap which has the fitting on it already. If you have a powerstroke you must test fuel pressure under load. Tape the gauge to your windshield and close the hood and make a few full power runs if your pressure stays above 50 you are good below better buy the blue spring
