Really an excellent fuel sampling jar. You can inspect your fuel and strain it back into the tanks instead of just throwing on the ramp. Good for your wallet and good for the environment. The size and clarity of the jar make it easy to validate fuel quality and contamination.

I think my tester was older than me, so time to step up and get something newer. I dig the filter, so I can pour back the fuel without any contaminants in it. I just had new extended range tanks put in, so watching carefully for any debris for the first several trips on it. The size is more than adequate, and if you have an older plane that might take on a little water from the fillers- it's nice to be able to sump it real well all in one shot instead of dumping water and hitting it up again. Sometimes people freak if they see you dumping water- as they'll think you're tossing fuel out and angering the enviro-peeps. My old Ercoupe was like that due to filler seals. Anyway- it's a sturdy, easy to clean, and doesn't appear fragile at all. The screen mesh is quite tight, so it should do a good job. It's a good quality product for a reasonable, but not bargain price. Four stars is better than "satisfied" but it falls short of being a spectacular deal.

Works great on my Cardinal - the push rod is reversible when you're installing it. While my wing sumps could use the rod, the one near my nose wheel can not. So the wider side has worked well for me, and has little tabs cut into it that fit the push mechanism on the sump perfectly.

I bought this to replace a similar tester, as the cap on the old one started cracking. Upon opening the package, I noticed that the bottle’s open end was sealed with a sheet of foil, likely to protect the filter mesh. The tester features an O-ring to create a secure seal between the cap and the bottle. The filter mesh is very fine, which should effectively remove any contaminants in your fuel. However, the wire pin used for sampling from flush drains is a bit soft and can bend easily. Despite this, I believe this is a very good tester overall.

Works great! It's the same size as other fuel testers I've used and works the same. I will say the mesh filter on top seems to be more tightly woven, so it's probably doing a better job of keeping contaminates out of the fuel that I pour back into the tank. Happy with this product.

This fuel tested is exactly as advertised. I like the large cup, and it's relatively easy to pour the fuel back in the tank if you choose to do that. It has a nice filter on top so if you do reuse the fuel after testing you won't have to worry about large particles falling in. However, this also means that when you reuse the fuel you have to unscrew the bottom so you don't pour any contaminates back in.The top (white) part is made out of a sturdy plastic. The bottom cup part feels kind of cheap by comparison, but that's probably because it's a softer plastic (which is good, it's less likely to crack that way).Overall, I think it's a good value.

Picked this up to carry with me as I rent airplanes, and found this to be a nice tester. I like the fact that it is large capacity, so you can drain a good bit of fuel without having to dump. I like the filter on top, which is very fine, so you can pour back into the tank and filter out any sediment.

I wanted a fuel tester I could carry in my flight bag since sometimes it disappears from a rental airplane. This one does what it is supposed to. It is sturdy and I like that the tip has two ends, depending on which type of sump you are draining. The container itself is clear and gives a good view of the fuel. Overall, everything you could want in a fuel tester. Simple and effective.
