These are a cheaply made replacement but they work. You only have to pry up the clip to remove the old hood strut, then push and pop these on. If they last a few years I will be happy.

The stock struts on my 2011 Sonata have been struggling to not even being able to hold up the hood at all in cold weather. If I would have known how cheap and easy these were to replace, I would have done it a long time ago. All you need is a flat head screwdriver and 2 minutes to install them. Massive difference, they are strong. I actually have to use a little more force than I'm used to to close the hood.But how long will they last? Time will tell. But I'm guessing I will never replace them on this car again.

Holds up the hood as expected seems pretty sturdy. Hopefully they stay like that and hold the hood up on my vehicle
