Jeeps are tall, the hoods are heavy, and I'm short. I have trouble using the stick under the hood to keep it open. Now it just opens itself when I undo the latches. I'm very happy I bought these.

My wife got this for me last Christmas. I waited to install until the Jeep was painted for the corrosion problem. A year after it was bought I tried to install it only to find it first JK. Too far out to return so I gifted it to a friend. Still sucks that it doesn't fit.

Wow, such an easy install and something every Jeep owner should have. They install in just a few minutes and I would suggest that you watch the YouTube video on how to install as that seemed to really help me with the quick installation. If you own a jeep you know how frustrating it is to use the hood support rod especially when the retaining clip breaks and it just rattles around when you close the hood, no more of that. It’s also easy to release if you want to fold the hood all the way back. Fast shipping and these were on sale at about half the price of the more expensive ones. Just pop the latch and use minimal effort to start them and stand back as they raise your hood, get them you won’t regret it.
