This a universal kit made to fit. several Rangers in my case a 2003 Edge with a OE composit hood. Never have I encountered a hood on any vehicle I have ever owned that is this heavy. No problem with the weight for this Kit-up and down easily. The only thing I corrected was the upper end of the strut contacting the hood rubber bumper which made the hood fit very tightly against he hood latch. Gaining clearence for the strut was to elongate the slot for the bumper fordward about an inch which clears the upper end of the strut.. Much easier to latch and unlatch the hood. How well will the pop rivets hold in the composit hood only time will tell. Still I will rate this product a 5.

It can be installed on a Mazda Truck , but , you have to flatten a spot on the fender. Unless your good with tools, leave it be.

Best damn thing since crunchy peanut butter! Good solid product and easy to follow instructions. Ford should have installed these when they were building Rangers from the start. Thanx Redline Tuning for a great quality product.

This is a great product. I would have given it 5 stars but it came with lower bracket self tapping screws that would not go through the predrilled bracket holes. Either the holes were too small or screws too large. I had to drill out the bracket holes to make the screws work and had to use a 3/16" drill to drill the holes in the truck for the bracket mounting, instead of the 5/32" that was specified in the instructions. Extra work, but it worked out OK and I love the way these struts work on my hood.

Bought this because of shoulder issues. Directions are easily understood and concise. As they say, be certain to use a center punch, fresh SHARP drill bits and light pressure when drilling.VERY disappointed that the mounting brackets were not 'black' as shown Yes, the product will work. Yes, I can spray paint them black. The point is if black is displayed, that's what better be shipped - particularly at this price point!
