This is my 4th kit and it's getting easier for me to work on these kits. FYI - when I started, I thought kits like this would be great to learn on with a nice result that could be displayed. This review is for the Crochet Box Koala.The kit has everything needed. It includes instructions that are pretty detailed and links to videos that show people performing the steps. Very nice and soft yarn and nice crochet hook. It includes everything needed to complete the Koala.While the instructions seem thorough and straight forward, I had problems following them for the first couple of kits. It's gotten easier with more practice. I've been working on this one last and it's the easiest so far due to the experience I've had so far. The instructions and videos are similar to the others I've worked on, so that has helped a lot in figuring out what is needed.If you are quick learner or visual learner, or you have some crochet experience, these seem to be great. Keep that in mind when buying.

This was so fun. I am a beginner beginner and struggled a little bit at first with not knowing what the different stitches were, so the videos were hard to follow. I used the websites stitch tutorials and was able to complete my project in about 4 hours and it looks pretty alright if you ask me! I would recommend this to anyone just starting out, everything is included and I had a good time learning.

I'm a beginner crocheter, but not Brand New. I know a few basic stitches, but I learned them all like 25 years ago.First: This kit is VERY comprehensive and comes with enough supplies for the project with a surplus. I appreciate that because I tend to be loose with my stitches and have run out of yarn for a project a few times. Not an issue here.The kit also provided the crochet hook, the yarn needle, the novelty eyes, batting and stitch markers. I thought the markers were a nice touch.The only fault I found with the kit were that some of the instructions seemed overly complicated. Like I said earlier, it's not my first rodeo but there haven't been MANY rodeos. So when I looked at the videos provided for the instructions, the very first one was instructions for the "Magic Ring".I have made exactly one magic ring in my life before this, because it's a fairly newer technique that got popular with the Amiguri trend. I didn't remember how to do it, so I watched the video link from the kit.I was FLOORED at how overly complicated it seemed. I tried their technique and just could not get the hang of it. So instead, I searched for Magic Ring Crochet on YouTube and within seconds found a tutorial with steps that were familiar to me, and about half as complex as the ones from the kit.So short story long: Great kit, but if you're a beginner and unfamiliar with the stitches perhaps branch out to other free resources.

I was so excited to get this and start crocheting. My only other experience is with a loom. I love how the kit came with everything needed and it was high quality. I'm having a hard time following the written and video tutorials.

She is getting ready to start this as a new crocheter. The white yarn was missing, but I called and they are mailing it to us without any questions. She is very excited to get started on it. The instructions are easy to follow and show the different crochet stitches clearly.

My daughter loves to crochet and got me this for Christmas so that I could learn. It took me ~4 hours to complete and was really fun.
