I found the instructions vague and the yarn difficult to work with. I had better luck watching tutorials and buying an easier yarn. Would not recommend for beginners.

The crochet hook is small and the yarn comes in multiple strands so it is hard to get the whole piece of yarn pulled through. Does have a picture of different stitches but not easy for 10 yo or 70 yo to follow

The instructions and hook were very nice but the included yarn was not good for a first timer to use.It was dark and highly textured/hairy. Very difficult to see the stitches for a beginner.The included yarn will make a very nice and soft scarf once the learner learns.

Overall I would recommend this product to someone looking to learn crochet! Personally I had issues learning from the text/visuals displayed in the booklet, but luckily the booklet includes a QR code that routes you to a video, and that aided me immensely. I took the leap and it paid off!

Just got this kit and I’m starting to crochet. I like everything so far- looks exactly like in the pics. The yarn is very soft and seems high quality. I like that the skeins are big- the other sets I saw looked ok in the pics, but the skeins were very small. Now I know it's good, I’ll get more sets for my friends for Xmas!
