This kit was super fun to put together. I wanted to make something for my daughter to put in her nursery and I’m so happy with how it turned out. If you understand the abbreviations for crocheting, this would be perfect for you. It also comes with a QR code for a video tutorial but I didn’t end up using it

I was a beginner. These stuff animals do take a lot of time, especially the zebra, but so so worth it in the end. Definitely buying again from this shop! Probably the dog? Also the hippo turns out so cute! It’s definitely underrated as I’ve seen no reviews on it.For the elk: instructions said to wait for the eyes, but don’t!!!! Sew the eyes before sewing the head to the nose

I am so disappointed in this. I am always making things for others but when I saw this I wanted it for myself. And as you can see from the picture I did not use an excessive amount of yarn. I used the correct hook size and did not waste yarn. My stitches are always tight. Yet I ran out of yarn on the final ear. Since the yarn is not marked with a label I contacted the seller/company and asked if they would send me more. They refused nor would they give me a brand or company to order more myself. So now I am on a search for matching yarn. I have not been successful so far but I am not giving up since it looks like it will be amazing when finished.***The company contacted me again and is now sending me some yarn! I will update this post once it is received!**02/11/25–I received the yarn quickly and was able to complete my elephant! I am so pleased with the finished elephant and their excellent customer service.

I'd never crocheted before, and I think this was a pretty good project. I wouldn't rate it a perfect five stars because I think the instructions could have been better for beginners. The videos are good for the most part, but I think they could have explained things in a little more detail. I found myself looking up more details about technics on YouTube. I'd probably recommend this as a second project for most. However, if you're persistent and don't mind look doing additional research, you'll do fine with this one as your first.Also, I saw several reviews stating they ran out of yarn. This company must be sending out more yarn now with their kits because I had a good amount left over. I probably could have made an additional head and ear.

Let me start off by saying I'm reviewing the elk crochet kit, not the elephant. I have the elephant too, but I'm reviewing the elk. The design is super adorable. I mean I just cannot get enough of how adorable it is, especially with the added winter hat. The yarn is bulky chenille, however, and it is for this reason that I believe this kit is not good for beginners. It is VERY challenging to see and count your stitches with a bulky, chenille yarn unless you are at least an intermediate level and know what to look for. This is especially difficult when using a dark colored yarn. I would say if you are a beginner, start practicing regularly with a normal worsted weight yarn before you attempt chenille. Then make sure you have very good lighting when crocheting so you can see your stitches well. There are crochet sites that say to not even attempt a chenille yarn until you can crochet with your eyes closed. While I think this is a bit of an exaggeration, they do have a point in that it is a much more challenging medium to work with. The finished product though will be amazing. Video tutorials are provided by scanning the QR code provided in the written instructions. I've always found the video tutorials helpful. The video is narrated by someone who's first language is not English and has an Asian accent, but it's still perfectly understandable. The video is not broken out into chapters, but it does have captions that refer to the Elk body area and row count for reference. I haven't yet finished my elk, but when I'm done, I'll upload a pic. I must have it finished by Christmas because it will definitely become a part of my holiday decor.

Per essere la mia prima esperienza direi che sono soddisfatta. Il kit è veramente completo, forse si poteva mettere un po’ più di imbottitura e il filato marrone è davvero misurato. Le spiegazioni sono chiare anche per un principiante, sia scritte sia video. Il risultato finale dipende naturalmente dalla propria manualità. La mia non è venuta perfettamente uguale al modello ma sono comunque riuscita a portare a termine il lavoro.

Really happy with how the zebra turned out, it is so cute! It took me about 20 hours to do. It is not for beginners! The yarn and material are very good quality. Not sure why other reviews said they didn't have enough yarn. I have so much yarn and stuffing left over. I do not recommend using the plastic needle if you like a firmer stuff. The needle bends too much. I ended up using a regular needle I had. The video for the most part was helpful but I used the written instructions more. The only improvement would be to show the sewing parts slower and show the areas of where the parts are being sewed on more clearly. And provide a stitch count for where the parts are being joined together. I ended up winging most of the sewing. Also would have been helpful to show the stuffing of the legs, arms and ears. Ended up having to take stuffing put to attach. But overall very happy with the results.
