Quickly sharpen, bevel, contour, radius and grind with this 2" x 42" belt and 6" Disc sander. The Extra Long 42" belt allows for long abrasive life and extra cooling while the 6" disc accepts Common DA paper. The included miter gauge allows for compound angles to be ground. The Belt can be oriented in a vertical or horizontal position depending on the job at hand.

The Eastwood 2" x 42" Belt and 6" Disc Sander is designed for rugged reliability and ease of use. The positionable belt drive assembly provides a full 85° of adjustment from horizontal to vertical and features a secure stop fence/tool rest for safety and convenience. The 6” disc sander features an angle-adjustable work surface and sliding miter gauge/fence to allow grinding to precise angles with one convenient bench mounted tool.

I returned the sander when I found out my Craftsman was just jammed on dust to the frame on the belt side when I went to remove the belt when the Eastman arrived. So this is the identical sander as you can see with the exception that the Craftsman has a 2/3 HP motor vs the Eastman's 1/2 hp. That said I have had this machine for over 20 years now and I have used the stink out of it in my knifemaking endeavors. As the Eastman is virtually identical it will probably be as good.

Good machine, but underpowered for a 2" belt, will stall very often with minimal pressure..Maybe a 3/4 hp would be better?

I love this sander. The only thing im skeptical about, is that it only has 2 mounting holes and they're located in the middle. Wish there were 4, to help with levelness and stability. Im loving it though. It can very well be used without mounting it to anything.

I got this as a replacement for a ricon 1x30. While the ricon had 1/4 more hp, I really like the additional extra width.

I love this thing im glad i got it. Its made my knives look 10x better and i can get my knife razer sharp just on the belt
