Perfect for the purpose I need. Dust collection is great . Assembly was very limited and simple. Changing belts is very simple. Really like this sander!

Nice and easy to work with but I dont know about the long term if it will keep on going because it seems to be built cheep. If you plan on just using it every now and then, it should be ok but if you plan on using it on a daily basis then I would invest a little bit more and get another brand.

The assembly and set up instructions DO NOT include drive belt tension. It should. I was not happy with this purchase until I discovered, in the maintenance section about belt tension. After making the nesseccary adjustments, it works just fine. A word to the manufacturer...please include this vital step in the set up and assembly phase.

A really great sander. Way better, stronger, faster and quieter then the one I bought from Harbor Freight but BEWARE..... if you get too close or slip, this sander will take the skin down s few layers before you have a chance to react. Many times it ripped the piece of wood out of my hands and threw it across the room. Just saying!!This sander Easier and faster to change the belt or change the angle for sanding.

This sander is pretty decent quality for the price. The sanding surfaces are nice and flat. The belt is easy to adjust straight without continuous chasing the adjustment. It's a little loud but it is a shop tool. Disc table is adjustable, feels stable when locked in position. Base is heavy, cast iron so it is pretty strong as well.

I've been very surprised at the quality of the sander. The design is actually the same as about a dozen others in the market and it is clear that the same factory is producing many for different retailers. This one was the least expensive of all those different brands. It's pretty quiet for such a powerful sander. The belt and disc it comes with are of average to below average quality but will get the job done to get started with. Get some Ceramic alumina paper for the best longest lasting type and it is aggressive on wood removal. The angle tray on the side can come loose fairly easily so check often as you sand.Vacuum hose works pretty good for the belt sander but is pretty well useless on the disc sander.

If you are a small need sander or hobbyist this system is for you. I make handmade (hand turned) custom shaving brushes and this machine is perfect for my shop. I did not need a large disc or belt sander but something in this size. It works great and for my wood stock size it is really oversized for me. I usually turn pieces in the nature of 2" square by no more than 5". You will read some reviews this machine will bog down from work but I have not seen it one bit. Keep in mind your intended goal and what you do most. But if you do small projects/works this will more than suffice.

I replaced a much more expensive and much larger sander that had a seized bearing with this one . Thought I would use this little machine until the old one was fixed. To my surprise this little Powertec sander works much better than my old one. It is quieter, runs smoother, takes up a lot less space and the dust shoot allows me to connect it to my shop vacuum to reduce the dust. The dust shoot could me a little larger to catch even more of the dust and I will likely find a way to enlarge it myself. Overall, this is a great little sander and VERY good value for the price.Anyone want to purchase my used large sander at a very low price?

Excellent sander. Powerful, compact and well built. No belt slippage and easy belt change system. For the money you would be hard pressed to find a better benchtop deal (for the record this model is the same re-branded model as the WEN 6502, Rikon 50-112 and Rockwell RK7866 benchtop sanders).
