Ive never tried this gauge of string. I usually like a heavier top string but these feel good under the fingers and keep tune well

Sound great, clear but warm. Let's the midst and highs cut through. Great sustain. Take lots of abuse from the Floyd, and still hold tune. Last a while as well. Highly recommend for low tunings.

I was putting these strings on a guitar I was giving to someone as a gift, but I played around with them for about 15 minutes and they sounded great and felt very good. 100% buying some more for myself.

Use these for Drop C tuning and they work great. Maintain the tuning, comfortable to play and very bendy for solos. For the price, this is an absolute steel.

I have yet to break a string with Dunlops. They're strong, feel smooth, and last for months. These Heavy Core strings sound loud and have a big midrange tone. Compared to normal Dunlop strings, they have a little more tension, and this is good because lower tunings don't sound floppy. They're still as comfortable to play as the normal strings too. I recommend these strings for rock and metal players, but they're also good if you just want a louder and present sound.

For context, I'll start with this: I have these strings on a hardtail Ibanez RG, 25.5 inch scale, Duncan Nazgul/Sentient pickups drop-C tuning. Not gonna lie, these strings felt weird at first. They reminded me of the .12 guage Boomers I played for a while. They both have similar fat tone and similar feel at the pick. However, the Heavy Core strings have great clarity and feel great under my fretting fingers. They allow a nice, low action and behave pretty much like .10s at normal E to E tension. They just sound a lot fatter.Because of this fatness of tone you will have to tweak your amp/EQ settings. I had to lower my bridge pickup just a bit as well due the lower action. You'll have to adjust your intonation and neck relief, too.I really like these strings. They have huge tone, they're as bendy and pliable as .10s, they deliver as much clarity as your pickups allow, I can really dig in with the pick for some serious chugging, and pinch harmonics all over the fretboard are easy again. Dunlop has really nailed it with these strings.
