I am a shop owner and I have gone through many tools. This one is excellent because of it's design. There's no bars in the way which makes it the most universal spreader I own.

I have often used this old brake spreader I probably acquired back in high-school. I "upgraded" to one of those all-inclusive brake tool boxes that should adapt to any caliper, but I have generally been disappointed with how long it take to get set and how un-ergonomic it is, especially with dual piston calipers. I have generally just used an old trusty C-Clamp to do brakes because it is fast and easier. This is such a great idea and I absolutely love that I can do the job on-handed. This will be a great asset for all future brake jobs.

Great tool to work with..replaces the c-clamp we all use and sometimes have trouble on proper placement...takes all the hassles of that and as well as purchasing a second tool for the back calipers to turn the piston back in...great product for the price and made. recommend this for easier work and faster completion...

The right tool makes brake jobs easy! I just used this to replace the brake pads on my Tacoma. Very easy one hand operation to depress the caliper piston. No more messing with a C clamp for 10 minutes. Works just like a caulk gun. Nice thick coat of paint makes cleanup easy too.

This tool seems to be made well, and everything feels solid during the compression of the piston. That said, these just make it too easy to potentially go to fast and force things too quickly. Be sure to go slowly.
