Maybe for super small projects. Handle is too small to grip well -- just not adequate. Returned them and received a whopping SIXTY CENTS refund. What BS!

This thing is working really well on detailed copper wire projects, it doesn't leave any marks on the wire on the plastic side. I took duct tape and made a gripping handle on it because for this price that was a small concession.

This is a great purchase. My grandkids are using them to assemble gearjit building sets when a little taping is needed. Also great for making jewelry.
